alleghany losing to north stokes 10 to 0. both teams look terrible touchdown came off intercepted screen pass. i think trojans r better team just fumbling interceptions plus dumb play calling u dont run a sweep on the goalline u run right at em. Looks like a long year for my trojans.
North Wilkes got destroyed my West Caldwell. East Wilkes looks like their finally living up to the pre season hype. They beat South Stokes 27-0 I believe. West Wilkes lost to a very good Mitchell team 40 to 6. Wilkes Central won against North IRedell 47 to 39. They were up big at one point so not sure what happened.
Figured on the North WIlkes score, West C has too many athletes for them. If W Caldwell played in the MVAC like they did 11 years ago then they could do something.
No surprise with West, East neither. We will see as the year goes along how good they are it's still early but that is a good sign. Wilkes Central probably had a hard time containing Dukes from NI, he's a good RB on a middle of the road team.
North Surry 26 Ashe Co 14
Good opener for us. We both ran the same offense so it was bound to be close.It was just a case of the breaks and who wanted it more and we did both. No offense to Ashe they have talent there and should do well in their conference.Slow start for us in the 1st Q but we established our run game and was able to switch from it and back when we needed to. We needed a spark and got it near the end of the 2nd quarter with a much needed score and we got going. Our D got better as the night went a long and we went 12-0 in the 2nd half.
We have some things to work on but I was impressed. First time I can say that from an opener in a while. Looking forward to Elkin next week and the rest of the season.

Congrats to North Stokes btw. That win has been long overdue for them. Coach Reeves has done so much with them in his two years there.
