21-21 half in game situation. Move to 10 possession each in 3rd and reserve players in 4th

Very impressed with North Murray High School. Impressive facility and really nice field. Huge team physically and in numbers. Looked like two SMC teams on the field. The game was pretty even 21 to 21 when it really counted. It all gets kind of like the second half of a nfl preseason game after a certain point. This game seemed like each team was mirroring the other. One turned it over to give a short field and then the other did the same. One had a long td and the the other. Pretty even game. Pleased with Murphy having few penalties again that was a big problem last year. Just really impressed with all the ways Murphy can come at you.

Yes Murray had great facilities, seems like all the north GA schools do.

I thought Murphy looked great against good competition last night, As you stated pretty much even.

Is Curry Ok? I noticed he had an Ice pack on his arm after half time.

Looked like Curry took a nasty hit with 19 sec til half, even with the no contact jersey and whistles blowing the play dead.

North Murray has only been open just a few years . new school and facilities. NC is DECADES behind Ga in school facilities. That state decided under Gov Zell Miller to invest in the schools and kids. NC never has.....

Think about the word you used cold biscuit. "Common sense" Now think about who you are trying to convey the message of common sense to........ Most everyone else gets it

I guess Andrews, hayesville, and rville didn't get it. Our qb ran and took hits. We hit Braves qb anyways.

It's a scrimmage that doesn't effect the season unless your QB gets hurt....... then it effects your season. See how that works

He doesn't understand lol but your right you hit him anyway the one time you got to him. Guess you was mad the Braves ran it down your throat for 45 yards and yAll couldn't Rush for a yard .

HAHAHA, no comeback from BK, The Braves must have put a lil scare in ole BK!!

And, did i pick up a little hint of "chest beating" pride over the fact that the knights "hit him anyway" WOW!!!

You must have watched a different scrimmage. Cherokee not that impressive in my opinion. Robbinsville clearly the class of the 4 teams involved.

I agree about wanting to keep the QB from getting hurt, no problem with that, just don't turn around and put him on starting defense so he can hit instead of being hit, sometimes thats worse. But all in all Cherokee looked decent but i think they found out really quick that it wasn't 7on 7 anymore. I am sure they didn't score on Robbinsville, they had one drive that went from their 10 to the 45 or Robbinsville and then had turnover on downs.

Well what did robbinsville do on the Braves ? Hit a pass where the db had a bad break then got stuffed on 4 straight downs . Cherokee drove the ball but everyone has their opinion of the game . It don't matter cause as we know in small school football the teams change so much with injuries. Anyway good luck to all the Smc teams in no conference win them all

Murphy seems to be solid this year. What do you think about the alignment this year 42?
Obviously not 42 but Murphy basically returns everyone of importance from last season. 'Dogs are still going to be young everywhere except their lines (the best place to have veterans) but the young ones are really talented. I see some growing pains early in the season on defense but I expect Murphy to be a real tough out by the time the playoffs roll around.

As far as the alignment goes (assuming you mean 1A/1AA) I'm anticipating Murphy being back up in 1AA this year for the first time since '09. Murphy would/will probably one of the smallest 1AA teams but I expect them to be 1AA this season nonetheless. I actually think the 'Dogs might have a tougher time getting to a title game in 1A this year than 1AA because there's the very real possibility Murphy and Robbinsville are the two best teams in the west this season. It seems many of the other traditional powers in the west (Albemarle, West Montgomery, Swain, Starmount, etc.) are a bit down this year.

I don't see anyone realistically challenging Robbinsville in the 1A west if Murphy ends up being 1AA. From what I've read and heard it seems that Mount Airy, East Wilkes and Mitchell will be pretty good this season but I'm not sure any of those three will be on the level of Murphy or Robbinsville.

I agree mbfan there will be a lot more competition in 1A. But I do believe if you guys move up to 1AA Mitchell will likely drop to 1A, and it has a lot to do with what schools opt out of the playoffs too.

I think Mitchell will be very competitive with what they have returning, they lost some kids but they have some great atheletes coming back
