ND vs Walkertown
OG vs North Forsyth
Ledford at ED
CD at Lexington
MC vs Orange County
Aboro vs Providence Grove

North is putting themselves in a hole that usually would be filled a bit by playing a smaller school like Walkertown. However, the Wolfpack are on a tear under ND grad Tripp Huneycutt and beat Salisbury, a team North lost to in week one. Then followed it up with a win over Forest Hills. With the defense getting blown away by the Davie passing game in the second half, ND desperately needs a win but it doesn't look like it will be nearly as easy as last year...

OG got back on track against Ragsdale and is operating methodically through the schedule as expected. They will face a 2-1 North Forsyth team that beat 2 weak opponents and got blown out by Mt Tabor. Look for the Grizzlies to continue their success in nonconference action before conference play begins in two weeks.

Ledford finally pulled through, dominating perennial doormat Wheatmore. East Davidson doesn't look much if any better... Panthers feast on Eagles this week unless something crazy happens like the WD game.

Central got into the winning column last week with a convincing win over rival West. Lexington is looking better this year but Central most likely continues their recent dominance of the still rebuilding Jackets.

MC looking good so far. They beat Orange County last year and look to continue their improvements under their coach the last few years.

Aboro also looking better this year. They may be able to keep that going against Providence Grove, we shall see.

What do we say fellas?

I'm so glad football is back in earnest. I missed this...

I see Walkertown being favored against ND. I don't think ND will be able to deal with Walkertown up front, and WTown has a couple of playmakers (#0 and #2) that will be hard to stop.

I agree with you on OG, Ledford, Central.

Luckily for Asheboro, they are playing Providence Grove and not Providence Day. When I first saw that,.

OG 21 NF 0 after a long TD pass with 3:24 left in the 1st qtr. I may head down to Lexington and watch the Central game lol

ND TD in the last seconds. Extra point wins the game. Blacks Knights 21-20 give Coach Bowman his first victory. What a finish!

What a game. Special teams were the difference. The QB for ND looked like Connor Creech on that last drive. He pulled at least 3 Houdini's.
