I'm not speaking negatively of any player! The guy under center is very talented, but with a line thats sometimes "holy" and no experience at the varsity level, I would want someone who can escape that pressure and has shown he can be effective. (thrown for 50 tds the last two years dude) #3 may have been okay with it at the beginning with promises of long td passes and being able to score from all over the field, but I doubt hes too excited after hes realized that hes not getting the ball, except on jet sweeps and the occasional pass. It's not just him though, I went to look up the receiving stats on the huddle, but none of our players were listed because you have to have over 325 yards to qualify. These are basic statistics, and if you can't handle that then there is no use having a discussion. Look at Reynolds with the kid down at SC a few years ago. Reynolds realized they didn't have anyone to get him the ball, so they made sure he always had it in his hands by putting him at qb. It opened up things for everyone else and they had an explosive offense. Now I know the kid at Reynolds was a better athlete, but I think it would be a similar affect in our offense and would help to get #13 and #5 more involved in the air too.
Like I said, I'm not going to talk bad about our players, but I have yet to hear any actual breakdown of what needs to improve on our team if we want to make a playoff run. Thats the problem. Yall puff so much smoke up these kids rears that when they face criticism they dont know how to use it to get better. All I want to discuss is our obvious offensive challenges and what to do to get better. Isnt that what these boards are for? None of you so called experts have given one single idea of how to actually fix things. I have to discuss with people who dont even like pisgah because yall are too scared. Or are we really just happy with the Haywood Championship? Im not
