Starting to see some cream rise to the top of the M6 conference especially after Brevard's huge win last week. I believe after this week we'll have a good feel of our conferences true pulse. Of course there is always that upset lurking in the shadows. My Bears have a dog fight the next three weeks.
Hendo @ Pisgah
Brevard @ Smoky
Franklin @ East

Will find out next 3 weeks if pisgah is dominate as their fans claim.

Bears by 4
Blue Devils by 10
Eagles by 4 in an upset

My gut is telling me East and SM pulls upsets. I'm praying the Bear just get the W. Don't care if it's by 1 or 50.

Dude... practice gates are open ...if you wanna talk....go see the coach after practice... Don't call kids out... Did you fill out a coaching application... No...go see him or quit b/$&+!;.
Polar is right you guys do need to make the change, Someone needs to tell your coaches you don't have the athletes to be a spread team.

Mr. Bud, why does this concern you? Why would you give advice (rather its good or bad) to a team you supposedly hate?
We appreciate your concern for our team. In all honesty tho you take your advice and shove it up your BEEEP.

Smoky Mountain definitely has me worried especially coming off our big win vs Franklin.

That being said, I'll take:

Pisgah by 3
Brevard by 6
Franklin by 10

Just trying to help you guys, everyone knows the senior should be the starter, even your players know it.

How do you know that #3 didn't go to coach and tell him he didn't want to qb anymore? Since you know so much about everything.
#yourwrong

I'm not speaking negatively of any player! The guy under center is very talented, but with a line thats sometimes "holy" and no experience at the varsity level, I would want someone who can escape that pressure and has shown he can be effective. (thrown for 50 tds the last two years dude) #3 may have been okay with it at the beginning with promises of long td passes and being able to score from all over the field, but I doubt hes too excited after hes realized that hes not getting the ball, except on jet sweeps and the occasional pass. It's not just him though, I went to look up the receiving stats on the huddle, but none of our players were listed because you have to have over 325 yards to qualify. These are basic statistics, and if you can't handle that then there is no use having a discussion. Look at Reynolds with the kid down at SC a few years ago. Reynolds realized they didn't have anyone to get him the ball, so they made sure he always had it in his hands by putting him at qb. It opened up things for everyone else and they had an explosive offense. Now I know the kid at Reynolds was a better athlete, but I think it would be a similar affect in our offense and would help to get #13 and #5 more involved in the air too.

Like I said, I'm not going to talk bad about our players, but I have yet to hear any actual breakdown of what needs to improve on our team if we want to make a playoff run. Thats the problem. Yall puff so much smoke up these kids rears that when they face criticism they dont know how to use it to get better. All I want to discuss is our obvious offensive challenges and what to do to get better. Isnt that what these boards are for? None of you so called experts have given one single idea of how to actually fix things. I have to discuss with people who dont even like pisgah because yall are too scared. Or are we really just happy with the Haywood Championship? Im not

So I'm confused from all this expert analysis. Albino is saying get the ball in 3(wr)13(te/wr)and 5's(wr) hands. Yet Mr. Bud is saying we dont have the athletes to run the spread.

I say scrap the whole O. Run the box.

I have watch pisgah in person against greenville and on film every game . Teams have figure out how to stop the bears, it's very simple double number 3 game over. The kid is very good athlete, good speed only playmaker on your team. Just dont understand why you can't make adjustments , 3 needs the ball every play. Why is he not at quarterback?

Is pisgah/Hendersonville game at pisgah? Hendersonville fans I work with said they are home?

We only have one fair weather fan .Reading the posts on 3A board you have a lot more including you.

I will give you the rest. Me? Sorry pal. No fair weather here.Granted I don't get to come on here like I used too.

90 percent of the pisgah fans I work with are fair weather fans. Most have already wrote them off. I admit really dont care for pisgah , but they still can have solid season.

I would figure by now that you would know those Citizen stats are not updated sometimes.
Take a look at the game six numbers.Just remember that one of those listed then has been injured since.https://r.search.yahoo.com/_ylt=A2KLfSYXCsZbBEcAu61XNyoA;_ylu=X3oDMTByOHZyb21tBGNvbG8DYmYxBHBvcwMxBHZ0aWQDBHNlYwNzcg--/RV=2/RE=1539734168/RO=10/RU=https://www.citizen-times.com/story/sports/high-school/hshuddle/2018/09/19/wnc-high-school-football-week-6-stat-leaders/1358573002//RK=2/RS=HHjjXBlPWRALD0C8vBjpbFsNgoQ-

Heck I think if someone ran the box in this day and age, they might do well with it lol...kids attention spans are a lot less and in that offense you never know who is getting the ball lol.

I'm assuming you think the coaching staff reads this board to make adjustments based on what you think should be going on? Are you a disgrutled dad or granddad

Scott Connors son ran the box at two different schools and didn't do too good.I loved the old box but most schools now run what the colleges do .Used to be the Veer or the I ..Now it's the single back .or only one back .That will change in time.

Wrong son most rushing attacks in high school run wing t or wishbone. Murphy and mitchell run the wing t better then anyone. Swain county runs the veer very good at it. Tuscola runs triple option that's my favorite. Pisgah needs to run wing t or wishbone.

Bruce ollis down at Polk county runs differant offense year to year ,depends on what his strength is. I remember laughter at hendersonville, he was the same way he ran power football for a while. Then he would run the spread. That's what top coaches can do at the high school level. Then they are system coaches that only know one offense that's the pisgah staff.

Yes you guys need to scrap the spread, you guys dont have the athletes. Pisgah needs to be a smash football team, playing the spread makes linemen soft. Too late to scrap the spread. Pisgah running backs, though competent, are just not the type of backs you need to run that type of smashmouth game. Backs that can get three yards on their own if necessary are what you need to be successful with that type of offense. And no, soft linemen are not the reason Pisgah isnt running the ball. The reason is he same at Pisgah as it is at Tuscola. A limited downfield passing ability is the reason running the ball is more difficult. The spread is supposed to create space and opportunities to throw DOWNFIELD, which then opens up running opportunities. But when used as just passes that amount to long distance handoffs to the sidelines, It doesnt take defenses long to realize this and adjust accordingly. Speaking of defense, the remaining games Pisgah plays will be won, or lost based on what the DEFENSE can stop rather than what the offense generates, IMO. PHS is not going to be a prolific offensive machine no matter what they run, but the defense is good enough to keep them in games even when the offense is not producing lots of points. JMO.

All the pisgah fans I know are so disappointed, they all talk about how bad the offense is. After their scrimmage if you remember I told everyone that your line is bad. I got call everything, for being honest. Now listen up if the coaching staff dont make some changes you will not win your conf, and you will be knockout in the 1 round of the playoffs. I will be in Canton for the hendo game.looking forward to seeing the bears live.
