Mount Tabor vs. Charlotte Catholic

Man this thread got started early. I have not watched much film on them yet, will here tonight.
Catholic by 2 scores for me, although subject to change. Catholic is disciplined, and has a pretty good passing game to go along with their Wing T attack. MT Tabor isn't the most disciplined team in the world and that can hurt them.

Fully expect Catholic to win; however the final score (or maybe I should the spread) will depend on which Tabor team shows up. The athletic, disruptive, flyin all over the field MT can make it a competitive game. It's a little bit like my Black Knights vs EF, you have to play the game, doesn't matter how much you are favored by, you still have to go out there and actually win. There will be upsets this round, just not sure who until about 11 PM on Black Friday.

Hoping the upset is ND over EF so Catholic can get another home playoff game:p

I like Catholic by a lot here, east forsyth should have beat them by a lot more so should have Davie. East played this game with there now back up QB. East scored the first drive of the game with a long run and then just coasted till the end of the game struggling with that QB who would eventually be benched for Junior QB Brandon Bullins the following week

It is a true statement that there are two different Tabor teams. One shows up and takes a beating, the other fights hard and is clicking very very well (Glenn game for example, they had like 21 points a few minutes in) either way Catholic wins

Come on Cougs...you afraid to leave the friendly confines of the K? You know the association wants the gate...hit the road!
Believe me we know lol multiple undefeated seasons/reporting undefeated and never a 1 seed. It isn't hard to figure that one out lol

When exactly has tabor shown up and taken a beating this year? Tabor had EF and Davie in the ropes. Don't believe the hype

How many times have Mt Tabor beat EF and Davie

Mt. Tabor used to beat East all the time in the 2000s. East was a horrible football team then. But since 2012, East has become a really great program and Mt. Tabor hasn't beaten them since.

Common opponent was Statesville Mt Tabor beat them worse than Catholic did.... I see a very close game! Possible upset... depends on which Tabor team shows up. CPC...

Mt. Tabor also beat down a good North Davidson team 49-22.

Tabor 31-30 My opinion

Catholic has not played Statesville or Glenn so why does that matter?

North Davidson plays 0 defense. So not impressed by that win. Most ND fans will agree their D hasn't been great

Statesville?? God your clueless

I do think Catholic wins this game, there are things that play into favor of mount Tabor like the fact they would rather play a run team rather than a pass attack team. I still think no matter what Catholic victory

Also question: How deep is Tabor? Depth is one key a team needs to beat Catholic to rotate DL men in and out to keep them fresh when Catholic is pounding the ball all game long.

CC14 Mt Tabor will give yall all you want and then some. No cake walk here.

I don't think Tabor has the defense to stop the Catholic running game. I also think that Catholic has the edge in coaching department. They have a great system and will find a way to move the ball on Tabor. It may be close early but Catholic will pull away in the 2nd half. I think they could win easily by 2 or 3 TDs.

I would have to agree with Warhead on this one. Tabor has some really good players, believe Catholic has that and more. Will be surprised if they don't win by at least 21.

Every one of these post looks like GREAT locker room material for Tabor!!!
Don't know how much locker room material will help you in late November. I think everyone is pretty much dialed in and focused. If this was Week 3 or something you may catch a team or a staff sleeping. With that said I just don't think Tabor has the defense or the coaching staff to beat Catholic. I could be wrong as I have many times before. It's just me stating my opinion and I'm sure nobody at Tabor or Catholic really care about it. Lol!

Tabor has excellent coaching staff. I've had two sons play for them. If catholic wins it won't be because of lackluster coaching on tabor's part

Catholic has better coaching than Tabor in my opinion. They have one of the top staffs in the state. That isn't saying Tabor's isn't good and no where did anyone say that

And I'm sure Catholic will be ready. Just how much have you seen either team this year though? Assuming you've seen film of both or in person right?

I haven't seen you guys since the 3rd round last year, but based on your feedback to my question the other day about how this team compares to last year's team, you should win this game as I think you have an overall better team (athletes, depth, systems, experience, etc). We play Tabor every year and there is a difference between the 2 teams if you consider everything. No slight to MT before someone says we are just sore losers. MT kicked our booty this year. Anything can happen, that's why we have a playoff in the first place. Still sticking with my prediction of CC by 21 points.
