It's about time we face some tough love early season if we win those 4 everybody else might be in trouble Go Bears
Watauga game should be a good one. Both teams match well in style of play. Not sure how good watauga will be this year after losing some starters last year to graduation
Is it not funny how many Mt Airy Haters are on here and it is just April (almost). Not even one practice, not even one rumor of a portal transfer. And yet here we are.
Go ahead and wish and dream. Throw all the projections about the Great and Mighty Bears will wither up and blow away.
And maybe it will happen.

I don't think it's hating to think MA may lose one non conference game. Although when Mitchell went to states in 21 they did beat watauga it wouldn't be to surprising if MA beat them. Jefferson Forest in Virginia was pretty stout last year also. And of course starmount and East Wilkes I believe both will be good this year to. If MA loses one of these games it may make them better later in the season. Case in point Tarboro with Havelock last year.
I credit Mount Airy for scheduling a tough non conference. Plus the conference should be stout as well. I believe MA will go far in the 3a West this year and play Shelby in the regionals.

The VA team list 111 players on roster last season.

Once a upon a time, I went Starmount and Mt Airy and there was Coach Hollingsworth. I saw my lord look over there at Starmount, they must have 100 players.
He said, yes but they can not put but 11 on the field at a time. I like our 11 a lot better than there 11.
