McCants, former McMichael head man, resigned at Southern Alamance. He lives relatively close to Eden so maybe he'll be Morehead's third head man since Lin Stadler left after 2020: Maurice Torain (2021 2022, 2023) and Bobby Martin (2024). Stadler was head man five seasons.
Just didn't understand worst school in the state comment LOL. They have strong wrestling and usually good at baseball. Soccer and swimming aint bad. Football though, just hasnt been good.
wrestling is nothing like it used to be, football sucks, basketball is bad and the whole town is just trash IMO after miller left. Baseball will not be good since Nance kid is gone
NWguilford007 wrong. Wrestling is a solid program. Finished in the elite 8 this season and returns everyone to next years team and one of the best pound for pound wrestlers in the state(Eli Horton). Basketball this season took a step back but when you lose one of the best players the program has had in some time that is expected. Baseball will be fine. Yes we lost 8 starters from last years team but the middle school has lost only 3 games the last 3 years and the underclassmen group they have will surprise.
who does your baseball team play in middle school? assuming just schools in county?
Morehead's a program that needs discipline badly.. the talent's there. They are always quite fast and have some size but they can't seem to get it together in the fundamentals to truly compete. Reminds me a lot of West Caldwell in that way.

I was surprised to see you guys are in 2nd place in basketball. The conference is down, but that would be pretty impressive if you guys can hold that place.
We play all county middle school as well as Dillard(BY) and we scrimmage other school around the area particularly in VA.
Well the state is much bigger than just rockingham county and I have heard one of your top pitchers is entertaining wesylan
Our top pitcher is not going to Wesleyan. We have a solid freshman and sophomore class and i would put that group up against any around. For wrestling we return every starter next year at every weight class. We have zero Seniors starting on the team with another solid group coming from the middle school.
