Just wonder if a team has ever played conference foes in the 1st 3 rounds of the playoffs.
I know we have played the 1st 2 rounds against conference before…never 3.

I gotta feeling that it might have happened somewhere in the state….but I don’t remember it.

It wasn’t the first 3 rounds consecutively but in 2005 we played conference foes in round 1,2 and in the Regional final. Found that pretty unique

Bandys played East Burke, Newton-Conover, and South Iredell consecutively. South Iredell went on to win it all, as did East Lincoln, another in-season opponent.

Very well could see an 0-2 Shelby team...I don't think so...but possible

Reidsville Page is exciting...could be 1-1 Reidsville

Maiden could be 1-1...unlikely imo but could happen.

Burns could be 1-1

Salisbury could be 0-2

Paves the way for Monroe being #1 next week. We'll see how much ES gets rewarded for a win of MtAiry...could be pushed into top 3...

Lots of playoff jockeying could happen this week early.

Sometimes I surprise myself. Salisbury didn't lose...but they were playing an awful 4A team.

Put an asterix by the margin of victory

Not sure about one of the worst. Marvin Ridge was 8-3 last year and beat Monroe 28-6, then beat an improving Independence 38-6. They also beat Catholic last year.

now that you piqued my interest what towns are CHASE an acronym for???? never knew that about CREST....interesting.....certainly much better than using the North, South, East, West crap names....eastern part of N.C. actually has a school named SOUTH CENTRAL.....can you believe that??

I've always wondered what South Central was named for. South Central of Pitt county? I have no idea. We are named for being in the Western part of Craven County. But at least we beat South Central last night. May the football God's shine on us as we take on New Bern next weekend. New Bern may make the Eastern final in 4A this year.
