According to Joel Bryant, Martin County is appealing to be added to the 2A/3A conference with Tarboro, Ayden-Grifton, Beddingfield, Farmville Central, Greene Central and Kinston. Travel to First Flight and Currituck is the issue. Don’t know if they will succeed, but I’d be more than happy to beat on them some more. Tarboro might have to lose one of the previously announced non-conference games, likely Northampton.

Motion was denied. That’s disappointing. I always enjoyed beating Williamston, no matter what they call themselves today. I’ll get over it though.

The new HC is Currituck former HC so there's that too. Martin doesn't really have the resources to compete in 2/3A either. Finding assistant coaches is a massive issue there. Among other issues too.

Fwiw,they did have a solid team last year. A good QB and running back who both return. Defense was the main issue. Tarboro put almost 500 yards rushing on them. I'm still kinda surprised the last head coach left.
