seems like everyone thinks my Rams from Reidsville have no chance..is lincolnton really that good?

Here's one that doesn't think that Reidsville has no chance. We've lost two games, to East Lincoln and South Point. The Wolves have been doing pretty good, lately. Our defense seems to have improved and our quarterback has come along well, this season. We have a strong fullback with a low center of gravity who runs hard. I believe Lincolnton is a good team but so is Reidsville.

Rams def have a chance if defense comes to play and limit big plays. Never know what to expect from offense just limit penalties and avoid turnover we will be right in it. Any of previous go wrong it could get ugly. But I always roll with my boys Go Rams!!

Rams have a chance, but they must play a near perfect game. If anything goes wrong it could get ugly like the andrews game.

Lincolnton by 20.

Heard ER gave yall the game last week. Definitely not a good sign esp when Lincolnton is coming through

They didn't give us the game at all. We also had 2 chances to score inside the 5. But this reidsville team is decimated with injuries plus some other players left the team.

I look for the rams to be very good next year, its only 3 or 4 seniors that play.

Being inside the 5 with 4 downs twice and not getting a point kills the spirit. That turned the game around for ER. You go up 21-0 at that point. Also the fumbles hurt while driving past the 50.

I don't think it will be a blow out but maybe out of reach by mid third quarter.

Ha u guys are tripping ER very well gave reidsville a game and I'm willing to say other than mcmichael that was next worst team we played all season. They were not good and we couldn't score on them twice inside the 5. Game was in doubt til Cook Td.

Spoke with a college buddy who coaches at N Lincoln and he said the Wolves are very Sr laiden and several really good players.

I know they gave us a game. He said Er gave us the game, implying they should have won, they some opportunities, but I don't think they gave us the game.

I've watched some of the film today on Reidsville....they can't be taken lightly by any means...I will say for our Wolves if we come to play and execute as we should on both sides of the ball....things should be in our favor. Two years ago when we was up there and lost by 3 that left a sour taste in our current juniors and seniors mouths ....and they were young.....this will be a very interesting test for the Wolf pack on the road.....I told my son....one play at a time....

We do have 20+ seniors and a lot of them were playing varsity two years ago when Reidsville knocked us out of the playoffs. QB is a sophomore and top receiver a junior. #18 who plays d line and runs the ball well too is also a junior. Hopefully the senior group can keep the team focused and let everyone know Reidsville can absolutely not be overlooked. You guys always have a very stout defense and this should be a physical battle.

Anywhere online to see highlights of the Rams?

We get the hudl footage game from the coaches via email link.....

We struggled against ER. The bye week we had is no excuse for that. We were at the goalline twice and couldn't get in on a team with a 5 & 6 record. Even with the fumbles it shouldn't have been that close. We will have to play a perfect game and make big plays to win this game. If the defense can keep lincolnton at 14 points or less and our WR can come up with the big plays we will have a chance. We make too many mistakes to nickle and dime our way down field.

Here is a link to Reidsville's game with Eden Morehead. The only problem is that this game was played in early September and teams evolve over the course of a season and personnel are sometimes changed.

If you have to hold Lincolnton to 14 or less to have a chance at winning, then you don't have a chance.

We did it 2 years ago, how quickly we forget. We only got a TD and 2 field goals in the game I believe and held lincolnton to a TD and 1 field goal. So it's possible

Respectfully, it seems like some of you might doubt your chances of winning more than some of us doubt your chances. We know we are playing against a top notch program and against a coach who has won state titles. We know our guys will have to be prepared and that your losses came against good teams. You should know Lincolnton well enough, now, to know we are more like Reidsville than not, meaning we're an old established program that doesn't take teams lightly, and we know many variables can play into a single game.

By Friday, a lots will be said on here and elsewhere. Some will pick the Wolves and some will pick the Rams. In this part of the state we will probably be favored to win but in that area maybe not. I don't have any reason to believe this is a David versus Goliath match. I'd feel a lots better about it if I thought it was.

This Reidsville team is not getting enough credit for its outstanding season, probably because the Rams are not blowing opponents out like they usually do. But they have a 9-3 record and all three teams they lost to are still playing - Northwest Guilford in 4AA, Northern Guilford in 3AA and High Point Andrews in 2AA. Also, two teams Reidsville defeated - Cummings and Morehead - are also still alive in the second round of the playoffs.
No matter what happens this week, this young Reidsville edition has a very solid worksheet to show for its efforts.

Hey, for sure, anything is possible. But we are talking about this year's game, this year's teams. Being that is the case, I don't see Reidsville holding this Lincolnton team to just a couple of TDs. If they do then they will be doing something no other team has done this year against them...including the two teams they lost to (East Lincoln and South Point). Lincolnton has improved from what they were then and are playing better now than at any time in the season.

For that reason, and the fact the Wolves average 41 pts per game is why I think Reidsville won't be able to shut their offense down limiting them to 14 points. No disrespect intended, just my opinion.

As has been, you play the game to see what happens. May the best team win Friday night and I'm not predicting a blow out victory for Lincolnton. But I will predict that Lincolnton scores 3 or 4 TDs.

FWIW, Lincolnton will be about a 16 point favorite in the power ratings Friday. Not exactly David versus Goliath but Lincolnton will definitely be the Big Bad Wolves in this one.

Will be interesting to see how the Rams young defense will stand up to the powerful running game of the Wolves. Looking forward to a good hard fought battle between two great programs.

TGT I totally agree with you the Rams are 9-3 and was one play away from beating Northern Guilford...we have lost 6 starters to injuries including our all state defensive tackle and both starting cornerbacks and its November 16th and we still have practice today...says a lot about our KIDS and our coaches...this very young Reidsville team will show up and compete Friday because that's all they have been taught since recreation football...

Looks like we are in for another a cold night at Reidsville!

Overconfidence for the 'favored' Wolves? Staring at a billboard full of State Championship banners has a sobering effect. I suspect that our coaching staff and players know that it is tough to walk in that stadium and take anything from a program with that much history, recent success, and athleticism... Hungry? Yes. Overconfident? We will see.

Will there be concessions on the visitors side this year, ramking?

I close my eyes and see my friends, Lincolnton and lumbeeram acting away with their nervousness.Enjoy the game and I hope it's a great one!

That they have , include us in 2007... Ouch ! :) good folks both sides should be a great one
Hey Shelby Lion, I haven't posted on here in a while. Good luck this week to your Golden Lions!
I hope we can meet, but Reidsville is going to be a tough matchup for the Wolves. Once again, Good Luck this week against Carver!

I must be missing something in this thread.....because the Rams fans want respect...like us Wolves fans . These kids are busting their butts from both schools to be here in this moment this week. Only one can advance and I as a Lincolnton players parent(3rd time) am a little biased toward beating the Rams. I still think on that 13-10 loss at times.... We go out week after week and play just as they do. This won't be an easy task but be assured it won't be a lay down either. On film that I've already watched....they(the Rams) are big, athletic and just a move away from a big play.....but so are the Wolves.....both records should dictate as such.....let alone the stats...Friday night can't get here fast enough .....it's NC HIGH SCHOOL PLAYOFF FOOTBALL y'all.....Stay blessed!

The concession stand on the visitors side has not been open all year. Sadly, the gentleman who manned that stand is no longer able to do so.

The concession stand has been open on the visitors side all year...was open this past Friday playoff game
