Worth a shot to see what the fans are thinking.... I know NC has had some bumps since conference play started ....can they play themselves into the playoffs or will they finish at the bottom unlike anyone saw coming??????

Last Friday I was trying to get the East and NC game on my Iphone. I could only get a few minutes before it cut out. It sounded like it was fairly late in the game and the Red Devils were down by only a score and were threatening, again, when the Mustangs C.Dollar stripped the ball and ran it back. Later I heard East Lincoln would score again.
If they can play East close they could play us close. I know the Wolves will take it seriously but I hope we aren't the victims of some team's breakout game.

There will be no bomb ceremony Friday night unless Lincolnton performs it. I predict a lot of howling.
Looks very much like it did two years ago. I don't think the Lincolnton staff will allow the Wolves to overlook N/C Friday night.
I hope not, my friend. I'm working this week and can't be there. If you decide to go remember us Wolves will be glad to have you over on our side.
I've watched NC on film with my son...although they are young they still have very good developing talented athletes...like Lincolnton said could be a break out at any moment... Still head scratching on their start till now though just hope this week isn't their turnaround week....

Young is not an excuse. There are junior and seniors that could be put in off the sidelines any night.
OK GDG with that being said....why isn't he playing them....the start till now is quite a shakeup....just an inquiry on my part....
Don't know but one would assume the sophomores are more talented. I'm saying when you have 17 and 18 year olds coaches and fans shouldn't make the excuse that they are young. Every team should have developed their upper classmen to perform and built the program to have seniors year after year dominate the starting field. Then the next year all you hear is we lost a lot. Makes me giggle. That's the way it should be.
As for the 4-0 start and the 0-4 slide that's any easy one. Look at the schedule. I had a bunch of people after the first two games telling me how this team was the best in many years and I cringed. The goal Friday night of course is to win but I would like to see everyone make an effort. Nobody is hanging their head this year but in prior years they just plain quit against teams. I'm pretty impressed with the QB Hayman kid. Kid is being swapped in and out and has shown exceptional leadership. High character kid. He has made some great runs up the gut in traffic for a small frame. Much improvement on the defensive side from years past but the secondary tackling and coverage is a big issue. Better not be Friday night or we could see some records.

Sage Surratt set the all time NCHSAA receiving yards record tonight. Congrats to Surratt. Bothers hold both passing state records.
Actually it was an interception in the end zone by Givens returned out to around the 30. Then Littlejohn to Surrat for a 72 yd TD to make it 42-0 right before the half.
Ok. It was all a blur. Thanks for taking the foot off the gas in the second half. Hope we can get a win next week at Bandys. Good luck to Lincolnton the rest of the way. Surratt and Littlejohn had it going on. Especially Surratt on defense.
Newton has the talent..be it that they are young and upcoming they will be a force in the next few years guaranteed...
