Home opener for the Warriors. I don't believe we are as bad as our first two games indicate. We had times in both games where we looked ok and others when we looked totally shell shocked. We need to keep plugging away and getting experience. None the less we are likely in for another whipping this week. I'll say 49 - 14.

Lincolnton 54 East Gaston 14. Recap: Lincolnton scored at will, we didn't. We tried to pick fights most of the first half (embarassing). Lots of penalties on both sides in the 1st half. Clock ran the majority of the 2nd half. On to next week.

Darn close on the prediction, eg.

We play hard (to and past the whistle in some cases)...it's a numbers thing at this point (I think we dressed 26 players tonight, 1 a girl and 2 got threw out of game).

Too much youth on one team. No veteran leadership. Not enough players, no depth, not enough speed, evident lack of discipline with the stupid personal foul penalties. No fire, no life, no spirit. No athletic director. We saved budget money there by simply purchasing a life-sized wax figure of a man with eleven different outfits and having it placed standing up on the sideline there or about the 20-yard line at each game.

Be careful analyzing the situation, TW. No Dog may call you a "fair weather fan".

It s seemed like the 1st was about 2hrs,overall it was a good atmosphere for highschool football. The wolves are a young team with alot of weapons ,just have to grow up and be physical . It will be very interesting down the stretch

I don't quite know what you mean by young or grow up yet I will agree on the being physical aspect....but there's a lot of athletic junior/senior talent on this Lincolnton team that played last year...the biggest question is when will our defense play as a consistent unit...coach has been moving players all over the place trying to find a constant variable....

I guess being physical is the main point, I believe the defense is going to develop a want to attitude, as the season go along.
Especially when the big games come around
