If you dont believe me look it up I spoke to a big pisgah booster last week, he is worried about you guys going 3a, he knows that you guys with your supetteam this season still not good enough to make deep playoff run in 2a. That should show you homers how weak your program is lol. Your coach can put milltown on your jerseys and all the gimmicks but most people know the truth .
If I was putting money on who would make it to the championship games I would pick from these 12 teams.

Holy crap you are a dumba$$. The NCHSAA reorganizes every 4 years. We were a 2A school, per the ADM, when they reorganized in 2016. Doesn’t matter what the numbers are now, we will stay 2A until they reorganize in 2020. No doubt shelby south point and hibriten should be favorites..but shelby or south point will be on road all but one game..and just my opinion...if pisgah wins there conf and adjusted max prep rankings still have the as 1 seed in 2aa west...they will be a very tough out playing at home on the river..home field is huge for mt teams come playoff time
Shelby's run started when they went on the road in the playoffs so I don't think they will have an issue with that. It would be tough no doubt but I can promise you that Shelby and SP would not be phased playing on the road. Like I said in a previous post, if Shelby wins out and gains some momentum and gets their swagger back I would not want to see them in the playoffs.
So with these readjusted rankings; could this mean some of the top teams meet in 1st and 2nd rounds? Instead of 3rd and 4th rounds?
The projections I have seen have Shelby and Hibriten meeting in the second round. A lot depends on who wins that conference.
Hibriten has met Pisgah several times in the playoffs. Hibriten is 1-2 in Canton and 1-0 in Lenoir. 3 of the 4 games were very close games.
All conf champs must be seeded above all 2nd place finishers regardless of adjusted ranking and if not mistaken all #2 conf teams must be seeded above any #3..after #2s i think all is treated as wild cards..for example if shelby beats east ruth..east could finish 9-2 but would be seeded below every conf champ and every conf runner up..typically the2aa west has 5/6conf champs..they get top 5/6 seeds based on adjusted rankings..then the 2nd place finishers..so thats how shelby got south point in 2nd round this year and loser of shelby/ sp could possibly draw hibriten in round 2 this year
I’m sure they would not be phased by playing away, but we sure would like to host a game at home against one of those teams.
It would be an electric atmosphere. Im confident you guys will get your chance at one if not two of those teams if current projections play out. Some big games left these last two weeks of the season.
Mountain Heritage is not that good. Since they play in a weak conference they may make it to the third round.
South Columbus might be a top team I just don't know much about them. Small 2A west isnt loaded like the East.
Definitely. Franklin and Brevard won’t be easy to beat, especially at their stadiums. I think we are up for the challenge though.
If Pisgah ends up winning the west I hope you are back on here with this same energy. Not sure what you have against Pisgah but its not like they are just some push overs.

I agree that they aren't state championship caliber but they will not be no push over if they get home field. I've seen them play this season, they are a solid team. As for the mountain six, Franklin was two quarters away a couple years ago from playing for a state championship.
