Jim bob has done good but you go back and look at Havelock since the early 70's. Havelock has a tradition of being a great program. Every school will have years of being up and every school will have years of being down. I can remember 2 distinct periods of this with Havelock. West Craven and Havelock were built at almost the same time from the same blueprints. If you go look at one then go to the other you will see they are alike. They were referred to as our sister school. It took us 5-6 years to have our first winning team. One I'm proud to say I was a small part of. Our goal that year was to be the first Eagle team to score points on Havelock. Winning was never mentioned. We played at Havelock in one of the best games ever played there and lost 3-0 in 2 OT's. I can still remember the frustration of that ride home. Clay Jordan was hired and developed a solid consistant winner. We were still considered sister schools. Coaching staffs always got along good win or lose. Jim bobs first year was Jordan's last and we won 47-0. I can guarantee you Jordan didnt get in front of a camera and announce they were not our rival.Otis, cmon man. Saying Bryant didn't build anything at Havelock is insane.
Obviously you have an issue with him, but cmon man! His record speaks for itself.
I was in a meeting earlier thinking about this and that i was going to reply to your comment. I owe you an apology for using this thread in this manner. I don't have a reputation for doing this but i admit i coukd have done this better. Respect your rivals. Some may like to pretend the drama is in Vanceboro but thats not the truth. Hopefully the new staff and West Cravens will work together to get along like they did 10 years ago 15 years ago or 30. I'm done.
