He can be difficult to put up with but you can't deny he is a good coach. I feel sorry for whoever is considered Freedoms rival. They will have some weird crap to put up with.
That would be East Burke , Patton and Draughn, and probably McDowell now that they are moving back to the NW 3A/4A.

Thought he would get the Richmond or Indy job, not sure if he was in the hunt for either. I do know he was a top candidate for Mooresville last year among others.
Wow I really thought if he was leaving and coming this way he would be taking Crest I'm really excited to see who Crest will.hire now!
I'm hearing a recently retired mountain guy is down in Boiling Springs. Interesting....

When you win big and they cut your pay and demean you it will push a person to start over.
NC is losing teachers before they have thirty years in or very early in their careers. They opt for other careers or move out of state. This state should be at least a top 20 pay state for teachers.

Coach King at East Carteret has to be on the list. Wouldn't rule out someone currently on staff.
Craven County has a new Superintendent this past year. She has not put up with the Jim bob show one bit . He has to conduct his football program the same as the other county schools. He was upset over the pay last year and almost left over that. That is about the only thing i would ever side with him on. Football is the money maker for the schools in craven county. They should realize that and respect it.
JBB was a big part of the success... now he brings it to Morganton where a bus load of athletes await

It will be interesting to see if Havelock can keep the assistants there. No coach can be successful without good assistants. Hopefully Havelock can keep them there.
This is a great hire to say the least.
Freedom could sure use some of those assistants.
Freedom's fan base will be a challenge for any ego he brings to town. They want and need a football coach, he needs to save the drama for his mama.
How long is this relationship going to last? Will the new coach be around for awhile? I just think some awakenings are going to happen. Is this just a hop before the leap?

Freedom is going to love JB Bryant. Otis you want to say he has all this drama but why is it that you are on here trying to push the drama west? Honestly, I believe you just breathed a sigh of relief. I find it entertaining that you put blame solely on JB and his arrogance. You don't know JBB, you only know of him and that's coming from whoever feeds you the drama you want to believe. I use to have respect for you but sitting back this entire year and seeing how you have been putting out information that isn't always correct makes me believe you are the Footballaholic of WC. Good luck to WC and continue to sit in the end-zone in your recliner eating your bon-bons.
You know yourself there was never this tupe of atmosphere before he came. There was never a bad word that could be said about Havelock. I said earlier it had nothing to do with losing and I mean that. We lost plenty to Wilber Sasser but he always carried himself with class even after beating you. Jim bob beats you and then tells the media about how you are not good enough to be his rival. Fills the locker room of the visiting team with posters degrading the visiting team and when the kids react and tear the posters down 2 of tgem do wrong and damage a locker. You think Jim bob wasnt hoping for that? What does he do the next time we play there? Lock the team out of the field house. Tgat is the drama he wantef in the first place. Ram get out and talk to other schools in the conf. You'll find my feelings are not the only ones. I've never thrown off on Havelock. It's a great town with good people. The base brings a lot through that come and go but there are great people in Havelock. They raised money for our community after the flood. I hope they hire a good one that can keep the current staff and they will keep rolling. That is my sincere wish but Jim is a clown. Tell the board about the drama he created before our last game that the superintendent had to be called about before the game coudd even be started. Both AD's had a Monday meeting with her after the game. Its also why we are having this discussion now isn't it? Be honest.
Freedom community is super excited about this hire. It would be very hard to hire Coach Glass over JBB. Glass is a great guy that comes from Freedom, and a good coach but doesn't offer the big time experience that Bryant brings. Expect both Joe and Jim to continue to do great things!
Havelock will continue to be a powerhouse because they have the JBB way engrained in the program. The coaches who are staying will keep the tradition growing and will keep the kids hungry. As far as the drama you want to continue to speak of lets leave it in Vanceboro. Continue to breath easier..well unless you make it to states. At that point you better believe you will meet up with Freedom. "Let Freedom ring..." The mountains are going to be a beautiful place to live.
Havelock has been a great program for a long time. They had a few down years but every coach will go through that if they stay long enough. Jim didnt build anything at Havelock that they haven't seen before. I'm not sure why you chose to throw off on someone else that has nothing to do with me choosing to express my opinion of your former coach. But thats up to you.

Keep my name out of your mouth son! Like it or not what Otis and I say we are usually right! There never was once a question from myself or Otis on how great of a football coach JimBob is. However there is no question how much of a clown he is as well. The only reason he has not been ran out of town a long time ago is simply because he was winning. I personally know quite a few folks from Havelock and trust and believe a lot of folks are not heartbroken that he is gone. So keep my name out your mouth son!
