Former Crest Head Coach Will Clark has been named Ken Avent Jr's replacement at James Kenan. Clark was 25-4 in two seasons at Crest including winning a state title in 2015 (16-0)
Yes it will be fun we will not have the athletes to match y'all next year though. Boys we have need to do a lot of growing this summerLooking forward to facing JK in the new conference this upcoming season

You could view it that way but knowing how Avent is im sure that he will not still try to be the head coach. I'm sure he will give his opinion as all assistants do but at the end of the day Clark will make calls. If Avent III wasn't playing college ball this fall Avent Jr. would still be head coach and I'm sure he was part of the decision making process on who the new coach would be in some shape or form. With that being said eager to see where Clark can take us and how the team responds. If Avent stays on staff that will make things real interesting for Clark. It will be tough for him to establish his way of doing things. Tough situation to be in as the new HC taking over for a former coach still on staff.
Is that QB from last year y'all had coming back?It will be nice to finally win one against yall when the series resumed back in 2007 it hit right when we hit our dry spell
He's leaving a special fan base if you know what I mean. I doubt their fan base is like the one he just left.Clark will find he's leaving one hotbed of football and entering another just as hot!
I'm sure your fan base is special but we love our football and our Coach in Duplin County I'm sure Clark will be able to say he has experienced the best of both worlds. He's leaving a special fan base if you know what I mean. I doubt their fan base is like the one he just left.
I'm no fan of the place he left, believe me. I meant he will get probably get better treatment at your place.I'm sure your fan base is special but we love our football and our Coach in Duplin County I'm sure Clark will be able to say he has experienced the best of both worlds.
How was he treated there?I'm no fan of the place he left, believe me. I meant he will get probably get better treatment at your place.

Yes it's ridiculous he got ran off after that. I will say this though I don't expect much out of him this year though. Definitely a rebuilding year for JKI don't know for sure but after being the HC there for two season's and going 25-4, with a state title, he resigned so he must have had some reason to leave after posting really good on the field results. I'm guessing that not all of that came from the community though.
Does anyone know when the official schedule comes out. I checked max preps but I highly doubt we play WRH twice in regular season
Wow hope it's trueHmmmmm they got yall playing Wallace twice aswell....

Yes Wallace's schedule is brutal taking on some teams that have had some real talent in the past. Any idea if Mottsinger uses some wing-t still or tries to completely phase it out.WRH and JK do play twice this year. Neither program could find an opponent to fill that spot so they decided to schedule a Non-conference game between the two. WRH is loaded this year but have a heck of a non-conference schedule to contend with. Not to mention having to play the beast of the ECC. Clinton is always loaded, ED has a ton coming back and everyone else seems to be trending up as well. Gonna be a tough road for Coach Motsinger in his first year but he has the guns to be successful.
Gonna definitely be quite a treat for us. Just off of what WRH brings back and it being the home opener for them I look for WRH to take game 1. Gonna take time for this new JK team and coach to find themselves. Last game of the regular season will feel like old times and look forward to the Dogs making the trip to Warsaw for the first time in what seems like forever.Wow JK vs WRH twice during the season.....hell may even meet a 3rd time in the playoffs.....you Duplin guys gotta be excited....two new coaches two great programs
Makes you wish tomorrow was August 1stClinton kicked off spring practice today
