I wanna hear about the Shelby vs Crest game!

The game was Amazing like every year, up by 15 with 5 mins to go and crest find a way to put up 2 late tds and almost put off one of the greatest comeback, but the almighty lions found a way to come up with a stop against the back to back 3a champs
Sounds like our game vs Wallace. We were driving with a chance to go up 42-7 instead we fumble. They eventually score on an 80yrd run, then recover an onside kick and score again, then recover another onside kick before turning over on downs. So instead of a potential 42-7 ending it was 35-21, either way a good win vs an undefeated reigning state champion that was ranked #1 in the state in 1A. Their QB can sling it too. Good win Shelby.
the WRH QB could sling it, but he was 7-20 with 1 interception for 154 yards, the DarkHorse QB, Kris Williams was more successful going 6-7 (no interceptions) 158 yards and 2 TD's
Yes, but WRH QB got little help from his WR's they had a lot of drops some that would've been scores.
Actually, after the Horses went up 35-7, WRH scored on the first play from scrimmage with an 80 yard run. Clinton is very good. I felt going in that the two defenses were very close and I still feel that way. But offensively Clinton is much more dangerous and much better up front. Clinton is going to be a VERY tough out for anyone in the playoffs! Congrats to the darkhorses! Hope you can add a trophy to that already stacked trophy case.
Most of this is on the 3a board but I'll give a few points
First half was all defense : we got the ball down around the 15 a couple times but the Crest defense stepped up big and we had to settle for 2 field goals
We fumbled on our 28 and crest recovered and a couple plays later they punched it in for their lone score of the half
First half both defenses played lights out. Crest was negative yardage rushing at the half but had around 60-80 passing ... basically we couldn't block Foster in the first half and they couldn't block our defensive front ... 6-6 at the half
Second half our defense held them without a first down until about five minutes left in the game . We get a safety another field goal and then a TD drive to go up 21/6 with about five to go They were on their 6 yard line and a highlight catch and run by a great receiver for crest broke one for 94 yard td . 21-13 ... crest had huge momentum at this point and stopped us three and out ....
Crest then gets it back on their 35 yard line and the QB rolls right and breaks one for another td
They line up in their wildcat package with huge backfield ! Linebacker brintley starts toward line and throws a jump pass to foster like they did again burns .. he was wide open but ball dropped on the turf ...21/19
We get it back needing a first down to end the game . Two rushes and it's third and 4.. we run again and rb leaps for the first down and gets it but a holding penalty brings it back and we are forced to punt ..we punt to crest and get a sack on first play .three incomplete passes later and game is over
It was a classic in the Shelby /crest rivalry where you can throw all records or who should win out the door ...
