When Burns loaded the bases with no outs, I thought they would go ahead. But I wonder what would have happened if they hadn't scored on the wild pitch soon after that. The next play was a fly ball to right field that the outfielder made a good throw on, and it might have been close at the plate (the runner didn't try it, but the go ahead run had already scored, so he might have tried). Either way it could have been an exciting play and could have changed the game.

Honestly that game should have been a wake up call for Burns. Hopefully it was. They hadn't played a really close game in a while.

According to the Mountaineer newspaper they rolled in just before 5 am. Coaches hit the bed at 5:20 and were at work to teach at 7:30. I guarantee their were some dog tired boys and coaches today.
Finch Field was flooded so this game was played at Rockers Stadium in High Point.
I saw CTK play twice this year in the Gaston Co. Easter Tourney. They have (3) to (4) kids who stand out. They are well-coached and play a smart brand of baseball. They beat a very solid Stuart Cramer team in that tourney.
Solid baseball analyzing. I love that. ER is extremely young, only one senior. Have freshmen playing entire left side of infield. They pitch pretty well but struggle some at plate. Might be pitching freshman Friday too. We shall see and thank you again for the info
Man, it's how I stay motivated as I age. I try to ump/coach/take in as many games as I can while I still can. Baseball has been a lifeline for me.....
