This year, different criteria are being used to hopefully more accurately reflect the performance of the teams. I disregarded points for classification, along with won/loss points and bonus points. I felt those criteria would be reflected in the rankings used for assigning points. Points are awarded for a team's position in the Maxpreps Ratings and the CP state rankings. This way, one computerized model and one human model is incorporated. Weighted points were allowed for point differential, performance at home or away, strength of schedule and teams that were played in the top 25. The ratings are below.
