Well believe it or not it’s getting about that time of the year where High school baseball will soon start up. I seen where South Iredell will open up at home against West Wilkes on February 25. Yes February 25.
Who’s who among High school baseball teams. Who will be the top teams to watch for season of 2025?

In the Mid-State 2A you have West Stokes who should win the conference. Morehead lost 8 of 9 starters and i believe 10 seniors. They do have an exciting young group. They will surprise a lot of teams. Reidsville brings in a transfer that committed to Norfolk State and they have a few upper classmen but they do break a new coach so not sure what to expect there. McMichael brings back a few from last years squad. Overall for 2A Randleman returns a lot of production this year and will make a run deep in the playoffs. Best Overall team in the state will be Wesleyan Christian Academy. They begin the year ranked 16th nationally!!!

Tuscola made a run a year earlier than most suspected. They are definitely the favorite to win Mtn. 7 since West graduated some major talent. If they can live up to their potential, they'll be very tough in 3A especially when Rich is on the mound.

TC Roberson will be a force again in 4A. Offensively, this could be their most productive year out of the last 3.

Northwest Guilford doesn't have much to compete with this year....no dominant arms or bats unless its aid from a transfer which I haven't heard of any

I assume East Rowan will be strong again as well. I watched them against Tuscola and they were very solid and didn't seem to be senior-heavy. I know the Ailshie kid will be tough to deal with because he was last year as a sophomore.

I believe East Rowan lost some really good players but they do return some real good players back. Ailshie definitely the real deal. It will be interesting to see how well this team does and how far they can make it. I’m looking forward to baseball already.

I knew they lost the SS that was drafted. I wasn't sure how many others but it seems like Salisbury pumps out high-caliber baseball talent as well as any area in the state.

I'm looking forward to baseball as well. I like sports in general but I love when baseball season rolls around.

I am ready for baseball for 2 reasons, one, I love baseball and 2, it means warm weather is not to far away. I will follow the CPC but don’t know much about how they will shake out.

Burns should be team to beat in 2a

Burns won the state 2 years ago with a team full of sophomores. They lost in the state finals last year as juniors. This should be another strong year. East Rutherford will be very good as well. I believe the West will be represented by one of these two teams.

weird he listed as stoneville....we don't have much unless its from a transfer that I haven't heard about. lost our best two hitters and bring back some mid 80's arms.....not gonna get the job done in 4a. Are we scrimmaging yal?

Im curious to see what South Rowan brings in this season. They were 2022 3A State Champs. Last year West Rowan did really well. Of course East Rowan won the 3A in ‘24. And made it deep the season before. There has definitely has been some good talent that’s came through Rowan Co schools.

Stuart Cramer and South Point will both field very strong teams. Both teams were young last year, Cramer returns everyone and SP had (5) SR last season. SP also adds a key transfer from KM.

SP plays Burns the first game of the season. 3 of Burns best players will still be playing basketball. So that may give you guys the upper hand. Unless the game gets moved or the three players are allowed to play.
