Looks like Lincolnton and Maiden will be the favorites heading into the off season, Maiden with the slight favorite as they return all their skill kids. East Lincoln and West Caldwell could be the push teams, and Newton may slide in there also heading into their 3rd season with Coach Beam. EL is graduating 4 on offense and 6 on defense, Graham kid filled in nicely, losing only one lineman and 3 of the 4 WR's are back, losing Banks and Surratt are huge, but there is hope with pretty much the whole line back should help protect the young guys as they get their feet wet, and I may be a little bias but have one of the best coaches in the state in Coach Byus (he has won with less before) West Caldwell needs to stay healthy and I think the same goes with Maiden, not sure why but seems like their big play threat guys always went down in the big games that will need to change next season if they want to win it. Good luck in the off season.

East Lincoln and Lincolnton will battle it out for first place. No Surratt or Coleton Banks brings Lincolnton closer to winning the conference. Make no mistake. The title still will run thru Lincoln County. Maiden has speed but probably needs an offensive adjustment to make the next step. Maybe Mayfield gets in the game behind center but that's what may be the only way they improve offensively.

I doubt Newton-Conover can replace Alex Johnson and QB Stanley. But their biggest concern is still a very bad defense. Bunker Hill gets a new coach so hopefully they open up the offense this year. Bandys should make some progress from an all time low.

East lincoln - loses their all-time everything qb but the young kid looked very good at times. Banks will be sorely missed, but with a very good core of receivers back should still put up some numbers

Lincolnton - loses there stud rb, but returns all kind of speed and a lot of young kids that got to play in big games. Prob favorites to win next year.

Maiden - great backfield back for senior campaign, can't imagine them slower and weaker, so I'm guessing they will have a say in the conference and the playoffs

West caldwell - I think Titus is due for a breakout season, I hope not, but they might be trouble.

Newton - with rumors flying about beams future and losing a record setting qb I see it as an uphill battle.

Not sure about seniors from other teams. So I'll wait to comment
