Both teams coming in looking to get back to winning, they both suffered defeat last week. Goldsboro will have athletes all over the field, and JK's defense is still young. JK lost arguably the best player on the team last week before facing WRH, now having time to put the right players in to feel his position (rb, wb, s, and olb). I think home field advantage will help JK pull off another thriller. JK 30-GHS 28

Coaching will win this game and Goldsboro has None of it. Geaux Tigers!

Side Note*

Coach Johnson called off the dogs against Goldsboro Friday, game ends he walks to mid field to shake coaches hand and the coach for Goldsboro never shows up. Just pouts and walks off field showing his players what sportsmanship is all about, right.

Based off of Goldsboros results in their first 2 games I thought this may be their year. Clinton absolutely destroyed Goldsboro but Clinton Is simply head and shoulders above the conference this year and they will run away with it. Goldsboro no doubt will have better athletes on the field. WRH ran all over JK as predicted. If JK is going to win another game this season this is the only opportunity left and I’m not overconfident in our ability to win it. Tigers keep it close but Goldsboro pulls away with big plays in the end.

Been to a couple of games this year. Once the coaches had a quick fist bump, the next game it was a wave from across the field. Players did not shake hands either game.

Maybe Covid related?

What? What game you attend? I've attended three games and players and coach shake hands?????

No Chance. Coach Johnson went to midfield to say good game, etc and Goldsboro coach just walked off field and Johnson even stood at midfield watching him just keep on walking until he realized, dude ain’t coming. Hate he was like that, but it is what it is. Your true character comes out when you’ve just taken an Azz whooping. You Got two choices, take it like a man and wish everyone well and move on, or tuck tail and run, we all saw what he did.

Then everyone does it differently I guess.

Just throwing out another scenario.
We haven't shook hands at all this season and Friday night was the first time that the coaches shook hands after a game this season. Coach Avent and coach Mot met and shook hands. It is because of Covid

You really need to get out to some games, because all you're doing is going by what you read. JK was also moving the ball on Wallace, and every game is different, every matchup is different. You have no idea how ED or Midway is going to play Clinton. I'm glad the game is played on the field and not on paper. I guess you didn't learn anything from a couple years ago when Clinton went to ED and lost, after everyone had crowned Clinton the champs.

I don’t doubt that COVID has prevented some meetings at midfield postgame but not this one.

Taken from the NCHSAA updated manual in the Football section for this year below. Not saying everyone follows, simply showing what is in the handbook.

Regular Season Information
  • Pre-Game & Post-Game
    • Ensure the pre-game meeting is away from the sideline and all individuals maintain a social distance of 6 feet. Mask use by coach, players, and officials is required during the meeting
    • No handshakes prior to and following the coin toss
    • Eliminate gathering, hugging, shaking hands, fist bumps, dog piles, etc. following the pre-game meeting and at the conclusion of the game
    • Teams may honor/promote sportsmanship in a creative way (i.e. wave or bow at an opponent; say good luck in sign language)
    • Coaches and players shall maintain social distancing of 6-feet for the playing of the National Anthem

Coach called off the Horses in 3rd qtr and took his foot off the gas entering 4th qtr. 42-0. He was honestly being very sportsmanlike and benevolent. Shame the opposing coach wouldn't meet at midfield.
That being said I think JK will win over Goldsboro 28-14
