Wow gm8 already! should be a dandy at the Pit.
Gametime: 7:30 pm.

Panthers defer & Brevard gets one 1st down. Panthers put together a 7+ minute drive for the TD. 7-0 Panthers end 1Q

Franklin holds again and BK hits a 53 yd TD run 14-0 Panthers early 2Q.

Penalties killing Franklin at home again.....hmmm. Int. help Brevard score the TD. PAT no good. 14-6 Panthers late 2Q.

So disgusted I can't give play updates Franklin TD! Panthers 21 - Brevard/Refs 6! 3Q.

Refs finally getting out of the way! Franklin TD, 28-6 Panthers 4Q.

TD Brevard, PAT no good, 28-12 Panthers 4Q.

Final Franklin 28 - Brevard 12, Panthers move to 8-0.

If Franklin isn't asleep, Franklin is rolling. Let's see how they respond after the big win at Hendersonville.
 
Brevard is very physical w 2 outstanding linebackers and they love to pound the ball on offense and take shots in the passing game. I hope the PIT is packed and loud..too often franklin fans,are lethargic just assuming victory until 3rd round of playoffs...i guess your program is in good shape when people can't bitch cause franklin doesn't win..lol THEY bitch bout how they win...

Thank goodness it's apparent to everyone...most unprofessional out of shape pitiful officiating crew South of the north pole..6 holding penalties inside the 10 ..lol and one w 40 seconds to go..but great win and Brevard has a good football team...now onto east and they will have our attention after the upset tonight..by the way kudos to the student section and band they were awesome..as for others ...PLEASE stop taking football winning for granted and help make the PIT a rowdy place ..

Evidently the Brooks boys spent a lot of time terrorizing fellow students at Fairview, Scott’s Creek, Camp Lab etc. back in the 80s.
A few “victims” have banded together to form a “Support Group”. Some of them meet on certain Fridays in The Pit for therapy. Week by week they are getting better and facing their bitter past.
Equipped with a whistle, tight fitting shirt, and yellow flag these guys are fighting their demons.
It’s a heartwarming story.

Something has to be done about this. If it happened once I could see it being a bad game by the kids. But this has become more than a pattern. It started with Murphy and has gotten worse in every meaningful home game. It's painfully obvious that their is some sort of agenda against Franklin! This will cost us a game if it continues. Last night was the icing on the cake.

In all seriousness, I don’t think the entire crew shows up with an agenda. And I think this HS officiating association is just as prone as any other to make honest mistakes. They are simply regular dudes with regular jobs and regular lives just trying to be involved and do the best they can. Even the guys calling on Sundays don’t get them all right.
HOWEVER.... it has become apparent that a few get distracted when they are out there in a Franklin game. Big ears?, bad hearts?, personal agendas?, poor judgement? You could make a case for all of this. Proof is in the pudding. Watch the film. Look at the numbers.

Many are out there to do the right thing. They come to objectively facilitate a safe and fair contest. I personally appreciate them. It’s a tough job!
Others can’t seem to overcome premeditated bias or they get sucked into a pissing contest. THEY KNOW WHO THEY ARE. Booking Agent needs to address this or somehow NCHSAA needs to allow FHS to use another group like they do in basketball.

In three HOME games this year (Brevard,Swain, Murphy). Franklin has penalized 36 times versus 12 times for opponents. -24 for FHS

In three ROAD games (Asheville, Hendo, Owen). Franklin was penalized 17 times TOTAL. Opponents had 24 total penalties. +7 for FHS

Same coaches preparing the same team to play the same game.

I agree with you, officials are a vital part of the game and for the most part it's a thankless job. My thoughts are always, don't leave it in the officials hands but the disparity you posted above screams for something to be done! It's one thing for the kids to battle another team it's another for them to battle an official even if it's only one from a crew. The kids deserve impartiality, again as you said mistakes are made that's part of the game. That isn't the case here!!!

Also there were several times the backjugde yelled at the Brevard coach hey coach you only have 10 on defense...im pretty sure the Brevard coach yelled we got 11 cause we got you..was surprised guy got to 10 ...good thing didn't have to go to 11 I bet his feet woulda stunk

If your talking bout the officials..yikes..had to be painful tucking those shirts in...geez I'm sure we will have that dude Friday night..i will suggest to the AD that he puts the officials in a room full of mirrors (clearly they havent looked in a mirror in a while )and leaves an advocare fiber drink in there dressing room to help clean em out..franklim fans actually get two admissions for the price of one.. $7 to see an undefeated football team and a five man circus in zebra stripes to go w it..simply pitiful...

Franklin has not had long tailed tuck in jerseys since about 1991 or 92.
JV game a few weeks ago......wow. Stoppage in play to admonish kids and Coach about uniforms. Dude is a trip. Even MMS wearing really old jerseys can’t be tucked in

I HAVE ASK SPORTSZONE FOR A COUPLE 2X AND 3X OFFICIATING SHIRTS AS A GIFT TO OUR TRAVELING CIRCUS..MAYBE IF THE CAN BREATH BETTER THEY WON'T NEED TO CONTINUOUSLY REMOVE THERE FLAG TO RELIEVE PRESSURE IN THE WASTE AREA.
 
The Charlotte observer latest playoff projections have franklin as a #2 seed..id say depending on who wins Shelby/s point and depending on couple teams going big or small and east or west..id say franklin could be from a 2-4 seed. A #2 would be nice giving three home games w a distinct possibility of loser of Shelby South point at home in 3rd round

If ANYONE thinks this team is good enough to be playing on Thanksgiving and i do..then you beat East. Sorry been calling for a perfect season since Shelby loss last year ..so yep we will beat East..then Pisgah. Then SMOKY...its the coaches job to take it one at a time..not mine

This team keeps getting better...The win at Hendersonville was much better than many thought..and let's be honest...brevard a physical well coached team and without significant help from our friends in stripes..that game coulda been bout 49-7..this team has been business like all year..i look for 3 rock solid performances to finish the regular season..i say dare to dream and as coach Brooks echoed in 2014...people remember December...
 
You are correct..many things can happen ..its fun to project..i know FRANKLIN will be ready friday...i know Pisgah will give us there best shot and I know SMOKY would love to ruin a perfect SEASON...i think this team has "something" yet unseen...NO ONE denies the strength of 2aa football but we also know the PIT can be a huge advantage come playoff time..so my hope for FRANKLIN fans is they come out in full force and enjoy every game taking nothing for granted as we go for our 4th perfect season and 5th conf title in 7 yr
