Hats off to franklin, they led for more than half this game. Very very disappointed in the Cougars tonight, couldn't get nothing going all night. #30 for the panthers is a baller at LB. bet he had 20+ tackles

Very sloppy game indeed, but I expected it to be a close one going into the 4th Q. Franklin is always tough as nails tough, I wouldn't be surprised to see them steamroll through their conference once again. I just hope we can execute better going in to next week's game.
Congrats guys! You killed us with the big play when you had to. No quit in either team. You guys just wore us down in the 2nd half. Think it will be a good year for you guys. Proud of our kids & the fact that they just don't have the word quit in their dictionary. Played a bit of ball with #30's family and the apple doesn't fall far from the tree! Him & 31 are the heart of the team and great building blocks going forward. Hope you guys came out healthy & good luck the rest of the way.....see you at the Pit next year!
Ill write more on this later but we looked very lethargic in the first half, like we were reading our press clippings all summer. Franklin was tough though, like always. How about brewer? That kid is amazing.
I predicted we'd have 100 yards in penalties and it turned out to be more like 225. Franklin came in here hungry and it showed. Hats off to the Panther nation. Ya'll have a smash mouth team and I agree about 30 and 31. They, along with several other Franklin players are the real deal. Well coached and executed their plays well. We were lucky to have a few people step up and make big plays at the right time tonight.
Hats off to Franklin, they never quit. 30 and 31 are tough as nails. Asheville looked lethargic in the first half but showed some spark in the second. Very sloppy at times but you can see what we are capable of when we execute. Officials had some bad calls but it was pretty even. Brewer is a big time playmaker, wish we could've had him last year.
Franklin gave us all we wanted and more. They are incredibly tough and alot of times blew up our offensive line. I really thought our defense would be better but you have to give some credit to Franklin. They really are a good team and I would be shocked if they don't run through that conference. We cant continue to let Battle get hit that much though AND play him on defense or he wont make it through the season in one piece. Ever since I can remember, we always have a runningback who will get a good 20-50 yard gain and hes gassed tired, and then we give him the ball on the very next play for no gain!!! We have so many guys who can get touches, we don't need him just taking a beating handing it off right up the middle where 5 guys are waiting to smash him, especially after they just had a long run. The player of the game was Makauis Brewer, we might not win that game without him, his second touchdown was awesome. I was really impressed with Devon Davidson, he showed good poise and threw some beautiful passes.
Number 30 for Franklin was a bad man! He killed us all night! I swear he seemed to make every tackle! I agree about Battle he can't play on defense and carry the ball on every play he won't make it through the season!
......on the half back pass that got blown up, I think Battles future children got a bloody nose. I felt that hit on the upper deck. I too was impressed with Brewer, but we had a few others that surprised me tonight. That little 5 foot tall white kid, Robertson that made the pick six, man he was all over the field. Hutchinson got burned once but the rest of the time he was money. Davidson looks a billion times better than last year. I think we're gonna be OK from here on out but we just down right sucked tonight. Just like a few other times in the past, we had a bunch of guys that thought this would be a piece of cake and got smacked in the mouth.
I think you just got to find more ways to get Brewer the ball! If teams try to cover him one on one we should throw to him all night! QB looks good we might have a passing game this year if we would throw the ball a little more!
If a team puts one guy on Brewer you have to change the play at that moment and throw it up to him. His second touchdown, the 55 yard yard one across the middle was one of the best displays of athleticisms I've seen in a long time. I'm not saying he's a crezdon butler, but he looked a hell of a lot like him on that play. Whatever it takes, you have to get him the ball. You know what Erwin and Reynolds do that I wish we would do is, put a guy in motion when the qb is in the gun running hard parallel to the line of scrimmage and take the handoff from the qb. You could do that with brewer Drummond mcdaniels Hutchins shivers....anybody! The last two games I have seen, (Weddington and Franklin) both of those teams have clearly figured out what we are doing offensively and therefore our runningbacks are getting absolutely hammered when 80 percent of our runs are from the I formation between the tackles. We have got to find a way to get our guys out into space and use our athleticism or we are going to lose when we get off the mountain, again.
Good win for the Cougars, Franklin is alaways tough and ready to play, game kinda went how i expected to go to be honest! just hope they dont have all the kinks worked out by week 3 when my Bears come to town
