Post by popular demand (from my friend Sasha). I think East Gaston takes this game. Our offense is clicking and hopefully we can play enough defense to slow Moe down. We can be a little helter-skelter, but I hope we get the good Warriors this week! We have a good football team, we might ruin someone's night in the playoffs.

I am expecting a slugfest between the two teams so TW probably has it right - whichever team actually shows up with a defense or at least get a stop at a crucial point will win. One stat from last week's FV-HH game that surprised me: the Jaguars had 8 fumbles (lost 2). Of course, the Jags also made Huss pay for their mistakes (muffed punts and mistakes on the snap) so keeping those to a minimum is a must for the Warriors.

I am leaning one way, but sure enough, if I say, I will be wrong. Examples: I picked both FG and EG to beat Ashbrook. Ashbrook over LN Charter, North Gaston to beat Cramer, and was wrong on all of them.

Maybe picking games is not your thing Sasha. Leave the predictions to the boys, get back to making that pie, and be ready for the late night romp. One romp with the Devil and you would be seeing into the future.

The boys probably picked the same as I did with the exception of the Ashbrook/EG game. The problem is Ashbrook. I would never bet the house on the Green Wave.

East Gaston was using shop vacuums to get water off the field. Over 200 gallons is what was reported.

Field drains well....Gaston County taxpayers put us in a new drainage system a few year's back.

Plus in EXTREME CONDITIONS such as this, we use industrial leaf blowers from the local golf course, much like ones they use to dry the race track to blow any residual puddles away. We won't be postponing the game like other local venues have been known to do.

No joke...one time year's ago we did bring in a helicopter to dry the field after a week of rain. Field drains better now that the new drainage was installed with the stadium upgrades.

Congratulations to the Warriors and their faithful few. They were way behind from the get go but found a way to get back in the game and pull out a win.

Forestviews coach hand wrapped that game in the second half, and gave it away with the play calling. They do not deserve a playoff spot. I feel bad for the kids.

Ya'll fought until the end. I'm proud of the way we came back, we could have quit when we got down 42-20.

Will not take anything away from the players, they left it all on the field. Congrats to East Gaston.

Adams had his worst half of the season throwing the ball, I was sure glad he got on track in the 2nd half. Were you able to see the play where ya'll score the last TD of the first half. Was it a lateral? I couldn't tell. Our coach chewed on the refs for 5 mins at half time and our assistants finally got him to go to the field house.

Forestview never should of let up at halftime. After the drive to start the 3rd we put it on cruise and knowing the scoring power of East Gaston that was the dumbest thing to to. Should have kept the peddle to the floor. Medlin had no problems running the score up a few years ago now he won't do it.

Looked to be the correct call, the fact that the whistle never blew and the players being heads up helps.

Congrats to East Gaston on never giving up. What's up with the play calling at Forestview? Aggressive play calling in the first half and then running trying run up the middle most of the second half? And no emotion from the head coach what so ever? Jezze

No comment...we'll take it! One thing about our coach, he'll gamble .... sometimes it looks boneheaded, sometimes it looks great!

Down 42-20 and came back and won?? Awesome stuff Warriors! Glad to see East Gaston with a winning record going into the playoffs. Some good people over there and the best damn food in all of Gaston County

egfan and TW, I was just looking at your schedule and you have had three games where the two teams combined for over 100 points. o_O

Thanks. It's been a fun year, we don't get many of them. You learn to enjoy them, when they come along.

So will you try for 105 points this Friday.
Boy, I hope not. At least not by the other team. When you watch us you expect something good to happen by our offense, unfortunately the opposite is true when we are on defense.
