What kind of numbers were out there? Any new faces that were unexpected or impact players from last year that are not playing this year for whatever reason?

02,

We practice in the heat of the day, 4:00 pm. It does wonders preventing cramps come game time. I'll try to get you the numbers later.

East Gaston practiced at midnight (43 players), I don't know if that includes JVs, if it does overall numbers continue to be poor. Syracuse commit Robert Washington Jr (RB) was at practice, but did not participate. He said he expects to be cleared next week. So I guess the door is still open for him playing at EG??????

Let's hope so big guy. That would be a huge shot in the arm. The thing I like most is that he really wants to be at EG. 43 is very poor, even to our standards but I'm thinking the 43 as a whole will be of a higher quality than in years past. Need to get some more bodies out there because all teams lose some due to attrition and injuries throughout the season.

Good numbers for ACR on the first couple of days! Got a couple of new kids in the wide reciever position that could be potential playmakers. I'll put our backfield up against most people in the state. AJ Logan at running back Rico Dowdle at quarterback. Looking forward to coming down to the CC Jamboree for the third year in a row. This time around we get the big boys from Crest. Hope we stack up well. Always a great event down there. Just wish it was at GWU every year.

Rocketpride, I have a quandary. Though I like and respect mountain teams, it pisses me off that Crest pads their stats against you. 60+ points!!! C'mon man!! Please show them that they need to do more than pose and show up to win a football game. Thanks.

One bad night in 2012 where everything that could go wrong did.... we were a couple plays away from beating them in the playoffs in 2013 with our quarterback playing with a separated shoulder, and have also beaten them in some intense games in '09 & '10. There is nothing but respect between us and Crest, but we are not intimidated by them. Hoping for a great half between the two of us.

I was at that game in 2012. It started off really bad and things went downhill fast.

It was horrific. We were down a couple of starters that night and once they got down early it was all over. But they bounced back, won conference, and made a good run in the playoffs.

We had 63 players report at Burns. As best I can tell about 35 Varsity. With a school of almost 1000 students these numbers are low but the ones we have are 100 percent committed.

Glad to hear they are committed. Hoping to see a lot of improvement this year on the O side of the ball. I can't remember, what was our JV's record last year?

Jvs were 500 but a lot of the jv plauers were moved up last year day one to varsity . The offense will be better. All the sops will now be juniors that have a year of varsity experience . O line has to develop to give us a chance. Come on out Tuesday to our scrimmage.
