Fantastic all around game for Burns on both sides of the ball minus the penalties.

Burns has speed everywhere. Mauney was really really sharp tonight. Great way to start the season!

Mauney looked better than I've ever seen him. He found thing open man quick and threw it decisively. The D played good as well. I'm very excited to see Warlick all year. He's special.

In saying all that, the penalties were awful and if we don't fix it quick, we won't win another non-conference game. Easily had over 100 yards in penalties. 50+ on the first drive alone.

FV looks like a squad warming up. They're big and look the part. But when the lights came on, that was all she wrote. We had receivers running straight up the seams with no one around them. So as good as we looked, I think some of it had to do with FV just not being that good.

Ill never forget Graham showed up at UC practice 1st or 2nd grade... Barely spoke but noticed he could absolutely fly... I asked if he wanted to run the ball he said "I guess" then first touch in game action 50 yard TD..... Second season 42 TDs in 12 games, won the title with him at QB in 2016..... He can run he can throw and apparently can catch too ha ha.... kid is, as you said, special...... so many of those kids have a special place in my heart at burns.... Love those kids like my own...

One last thing, we were destroyed one year by "unnamed team" so the next year I told graham before the game "I want you to score 8 tds today" *I was kidding* he wasnt... he scored 8.....

Graham at WR looked really good tonight. The trio of him, Thompson and LJ at receiver are gonna be hard for anybody to stop honestly. Throw in a QB in Mauney that can really put the ball on the spot and Norris at RB who is sneaky quick, Burns will score a lot this year. I wasn't sure what to expect from the OL but Mauney wasn't touched all night.

Standouts for me tonight though we're definitely Mauney with 5 TD passes and Warlick with 2 receiving TDs and probably close to 100 yards.

Yeah, I really liked your skill positions coming into the season. FV is usually solid, so to blow them out like that was impressive.
