ED @ WRH

If WRH was playing hard and focused losing close games I could go along with that but they are not. Don’t know where the team from a month or so went.

Exactly right. This team has not been playing well at all since the WF game. You’ve seen it and I have seen it. Right now this team isn’t a typical WRH team. There’s absolutely no focus, no fire, no passion. I’ve been saying on these very boards that this team isn’t as good as some WRH posters up here think. I’ve been told “you’re not a true WRH fan” and “you need to go sit on the visitors side” only because I get on here and tell the truth about what I have seen. No need to sugarcoat at all like some do.

I am not making no excuses for WRH but when you go play WF and Havelock it takes a toll on smaller school. I get it they wanna play hard teams. Ecc is a hard enough conference to not jump on those 3a and 3aa monsters

Playing WF and Havelock has nothing to do with how they are playing now. We made it through those games unscathed injury wise.

When Northeastern lost a couple in a row my WRH friends were having a field day with us. Our thread was on fire. I'm enjoying this at my friend Johns expense. I'm no dummy though, I know this is just a minor bump in the road and that the Bulldogs will come back strong in the playoffs. It wouldn't surprise me to see them in the state c ship this Dec.
Don't think so goob. My dogs look terrible. Good job Battle! Your team earned this game. Something missing. Can't figure it out.Kevin took responsiblity, but he ain't the problem. I think these kids like the glory, but not willing to earn it. I really love my bulldogs but they are not playing as a team. I think injuries have hurt our team spirit. I don't know,I'm at a loss

Still thats going to be one tough low seed......2006 we were 6-5 going into the playoffs as a 10 seed lost alot of close games during the regular season besides the 36-0 lost to Thomasville but went on the road and beat everyone until the lost in the SC game vs Cummings.......wouldnt count out the Bulldogs just yet....still alot of football to be played
Horses started that 2006 season 3-5 and won 7 straight (4 playoff wins on the road) it’s never too late. After next week a whole new season starts

East Duplin took advantage of a very questionable defensive scheme all night long Wrh defensive lineman were shaded for lack of a better word to the outside. There was a 4 yard gap in the middle of the Dline and ED continued to exploit it. Wrh coaches never adjusted.

Which is shocking because y’all usually are excellent at adjusting

Bulldogs are playing lost. Cameron is our on the field team leader. Got to have him and others that are injured. Wish we could field a healthy team. Don't look like we can. Players are not playing with Kevin's energy either. One other thing, few County liberals are telling the majority what we can't do in our community. Christians stand up.

I feel your pain, believe me. You probably haven't seen my post on the NE thread but our qb is out of his sling. He was on the sidelines tonight (no uniform) with a fb messing around. I feel really good about what I saw. Hopefully my instincts are correct and we're back 100% come second round

Oh wow, now that stuff like that pisses me off. Unfortunately this is our America now. I just can't wrap my head around it.

SMH. East Duplin is not a great football team. What!!!

Clinton and possibly SWO new favorites in 2a east.

Hey Duplincountytiger! ESPN says JAVONTE top 5 rb's in the country.
I stopped trusting ESPN years ago lol. Taking nothing away from the kid though he is a outstanding football player. UNC CH still hasn’t made them their lead back which is idiotic

The root of this problem is injuries. Had #13 played the previous two games i have no doubt we would be conference champions. No disrespect intended to clinton or ed. Yes injuries have caused other problems such as morale, confidence, etc. If we get healthy, we could beat anybody. If we dont get dylrymple and duff back, the we'll probably make a rare early exit in the playoffs. No need to bring all these outside factors into equation, just bring back dylrmple and duff. Jmho

But ED seems to always have WRH number though. The last time when WRH won the title with that running back they said was unstoppable, ED beat them then.

I don't know about that. WRH has defeated ED twice as many times as the other way around. I saw in the paper the series is like 38-20-2 in WRHs favor.

Yes, ED has won the last two at Legion including the year you mentioned but no way do they "have our number".

I think Southwest Onslow and Clinton have had more success than anyone in a series.

Im just sa

Im just sayin we were in position to win the last 2 games without playin well, and most important, without our playmaker. He handles the ball almost every play. He plays lb on defense, qb/tailback on offense. Easily our mvp. He's a naval academy committ, and he'll b ready for the playoffs. Folk shouldn't bury the dogs just yet. We can play w anybody in 2a when we healthy. Without him, we can b had, as we have seen the past 2 wks

Say what you want but ED was Good Enough last night to beat the Dogs! No one gave them an ounce of Hope going into the Dog Pound but they took care of business. Now every excuse in the book is coming up from the team not being focused to injuries. Injuries are a part of the game and thats why they actually play. Injuries affect every team. And the not being focused, well that falls back on your Coach. ED outplayed Wallace and that is that. Keep the Excuses out of it and move ON!!!!

Wrh should have beaten ED without Dalrymple. Plain and simple. Good grief even Midway beat ED.

Could definitely see ED getting better as the season has came along, but WRH obviously has a problem. Sorry ED has lost to everyone. I did before the game factor in that this is a rivalry, but WRH had no biz loosing, and people are searching for the answer why.

I will say WRH has not won a big game in 2 seasons. Win vs SWO this year may be considered big, but I think everyone at least thought they would win that game.

ED has five wins so they haven't lost to "everyone". They lost three games (Jville,SWO, Midway) by a total of 21 points and two of those were decided in the last minute of the game. I think they were up on Hertford in the second half and close with Clinton at the half. They are a couple of plays away from being 7-3. Teams better not sleep on them in the playoffs, that's for sure.

As far as the Dogs, I think Aaron Rodgers said it best a couple of years ago, R-E-L-A-X. We get a few of the walking wounded back soon and should finish with a win next week. I still have confidence in the staff and the kids. We will be ready for the playoffs and do what we do. 2-A will be tough this year in the east and it will be interesting to see what the brackets look like should we go in as a wild card.

Clinton is playing without one of the best players in the state and still handling business don’t make injury excuses . WRH may just not be that good this year

WRH may not be that good. But loosing Cameron and several others is big. Don't ever remember this banged up.
