ECC Playoffs Rd 2

[TD Pass2]

The ECC went 3-2 last week in the first round of playoffs.

James Kenan put up a heck of a fight against #2 East Bladen, but fell short. Meanwhile, Goldsboro took a beating at the hands of SWO. The ECC’s top 3 teams move on to the next round.

ED does not need to get complacent now. We have a bad habit of playing down to the level of our competition. That needs to stop now. ED in another blowout.

Clinton @ Northeastern
A game to keep your eye on. This game will go one of two ways. Either Clinton produces enough offense to control the clock and keep it close, or NE’s high powered offense lights up the scoreboard and it gets ugly quick. I’m pulling for the Horses hard, but I just don’t see them pulling off the upset. NE by 10.

P.s. Any Clinton fans know the status of Jalen Smith? Will he be back in action this week? Heard he didn’t play against FF.

Wallace @ Beddingfield
Wallace will be way too much even with them playing on the road. Only thing I can remotely think of that could keep this game close is Wallace anticipating a matchup next week against either the #1 seed or having to play Clinton again. (Let me say from ED experience, I absolutely hate having to play the Darkhorses twice in a season lol.) Handle business on the road without overlooking Beddingfield and it should be an easy win. WRH by 21+

Hopefully WRH plays good and wins in Wilson and sets up the showdown in Elizabeth City. I know that's what myself and bulldog are looking forward to. All the chirping we've been doing back and forth, it would really be a good time. Win or lose, It's just a game and I'm just having fun trying to ruffle some feathers.

That couldn't be more spot on!!!! What happens in Elizabeth City the following week is to be determined on the field. After this Fridays games the showdown will be official. 14 pts is what I'm giving up the following weekend if there's anyone interested
If not it's no big deal. I'm so excited about that game, I can't remember the last time I've ever gotten this amped up over a football game. I'm looking forward to meeting the ones on this forum who I have been chirping back and forth with, it will be a fun time win or lose.

I think Clinton can suit up the shorts and tenny runners. IF they do pull the upset it will be the biggest one in a lot of years in any classification. But they will make the trek and play hard. Nothing I would like better than SWO advancing that is. Their name says it all in this game ....."DARK HORSES". Now go play lights out. Good Luck Clinton

ED and WRH should roll..I put NE in the class with WRH and ED...just looked at their schedule and there defense isn't that bad. Minus the first game of the year, it hasn't given up much.
