I found Mounurry funny.
I do think North Surry is a good team this year. Not great, but good. I think a game between them and Starmount would be close with Starmount winning by a around a TD. My thoughts on the Starmount Mounurry game score would be similar in reflection of the game differential from Friday with the score being around 7 points closer, like 49-21 or 42-14.
The East Surry vs North Surry game could go either way, and the West Stokes vs. North Surry game (noncoference) could as well. I just think North Surry wins their conference which will probably depend on the out come of that East Surry game.
As for the thread topic, I don't expect this one to be particularly close. As I view, Starmount, North Surry, East Surry, and West Stokes close to or about equal this year, the score should be similar to last week. I did watch a good portion of the East Surry Robbinsville game, since it came on at earlier at 7. Watched the first 30 minutes, during MA halftime and after MA had a sizable lead switched back to see the end of the East game. If East doesn't handle the ball better this Friday, it will be a hard night. It was a bit of a sloppy game from both East and Robbinsville.

I will bet North Surry is better than Trinity and East Surry is better than N Iredell. Just sayi g.
The Mt Airy team I seen on film from the NS game isn't close to last year's squad. I think some people are gonna be surprised in a few weeks
Several of the players where playing up on Varsity. The middle school team has been winning conference it seems like maybe the past couple of years. JV's are looking good this year even though they still have some playing up on Varsity
Haven't seen them this year and guess I won't. But bears had 7 on varsity last year that should of been playing so I think that kind of equals out. North has had the 2 beat JV teams I have seen last two years. And then forbush was good last year. Big big big they were
Yes Forbush has had some good players coming up. It sounds like North is on the way up
Love that assessment. Score 50 and we aren’t close to last year. They score on pick 6 and second score was aided by 50 yards in penalties but they are no where close to last year. Like robbinsville last year be careful what you wish for in a couple weeks. There will be someone surprised or very disappointed.
MA has too much talent. East is trying to put together a solid team. It's just too much for them this early in the season. With North Surry getting thumped and everyone saying they will roll the rest of the year, I don't see the Cardinals having enough to stay in this one in the end.
I am not sure what the score will be, 14 to 7, 60 to 12, I mean who knows? These are two teams of 15-16-17 year great kids.

Bears start slow again ES keeps it close for a little while 35-7 final score prediction but I do think it’ll be close at the end of the first and maybe even second like last week. Bears will be okay down the stretch but I don’t think they quite have everything figured out yet and that’s okay it’s only week 2.
Still looking for all the transfers for MA to show up! Only seen 2 Friday night. And we knew about them.
Keeping them off the field till conference play super smart 1000IQ play by Mount airy. I respect it.
Does North Surry have the ingredients to be a good team, yes. Everyone is saying north came out and made it a game. 1st quarter and a half, per the score board, yes. But look at the two scores. One was a pic six. It was both a late decision throw and good play on #3's part. It happens. Norths other score was on blown coverage by MA defense. Those points came from opportunistic situations. Regardless, it's points. Outside of those 2 plays I think the stats speak for them selves. North never adjusted defensively up front ,or else yardage wouldn't have continued to rack up the middle. More of the same imo. 2nd in conf. I think West Stokes takes them out, possibly ES.

The Homegrown heroes couldn't quite get it done tonight. Held it close till the 4th quarter. On to next week.

Good Defense for East for sure I still don't think this Mt Airy team has reached there full potential for sure and they just keep on shooting thereself in the foot with penalties

Time will tell. They can play in 4 games and still retain their red shirt status. Mason is either 3rd or 4th back. If Tuten gets hurt, he could see some action. Malachi Thomas is the back up and he is pretty good too. Dandy may get a few chances. Not many true Freshmen play and why waste a year of eligibility with so much talent on the team. Unless you are a starter, it is wasting a year.
