If they don’t play better than tonight it will be worse than that. God dang East has sooo much potential but hurt they self with stupid stuff. Maiden actually moved the ball until east decided to not let them. A real head scratcher for sure
I think Reidsville will have the best athlete on the field...and he is only a sophomore.
Apparently you haven’t seen or heard of the two players East has..Demetrius Mauney..going to take more than one defender to bring him down..and a very very under used Jayden Waddell. Waddell will be the best athlete on the field, whether he’s used offensively or not is anybodies guess! Ball in his hands no one will catch him bet money on it.
The young man that Mr. Bud is referring to ran the ball against you guys as a freshmen and had much success, smoking the Rams on a long td run, and wreaked havoc, defensively. He has been great since, both offensively and defensively. Just because Pass stands out in basketball too, doesn’t make him the best football player on the field in this game, and that will be indeed Demetrius Mauney.

As far as the game goes, East has athletes who could start in anyone’s starting 11, but their offensive line is suspect, not impressive at all. Their athletes success comes on sheer athleticism, often having to work too hard to make plays. Their defense leaves little to be desired. I obviously have Reidsville winning, but I think it will be a tougher game than some of their posters think.
Definitely will be a tough game. Rams have a lot to clean. Rams should look better with pass and rankin playing the whole game
No doubt, I’m sure Pass’ ceiling is higher, but Mauney was once committed to Purdue, and has been recruited heavily by the ACC primarily at Safety. I know you guys think and often feel that your waterboy is even the best there is, but other teams you play this time of the year can have great athletes, too. Mauney has been doing it since his freshmen year, the young man is battle tested, and has earned all the praise he gets.
No doubt, hence me saying his ceiling is higher. In my opinion, kids with his basketball background make the best athletes, they transition more easily into football, they usually have great feet and are more versatile, as opposed to kids exclusively from football backgrounds. But, right now, I’m taking that battle tested senior, no.13, that you’ll see next Friday.

If rams defense shows up it will show how good of an athlete they really are. Rams have depth offensively and anyone can be a threat on any given night
That’s why I have you guys winning, their athletes will exert more energy defending against you guys, after having to work too hard to get theirs on offense, I wasn’t impressed with their O line at all.
I try to look at teams objectively. East will be one of the better teams Reidsville had played. If you look at their schedule and results, they played two good teams and lost. They played some teams that weren't very good and won big but they also tend to give up a lot of points. 44 and 42 to N Gaston and S Caldwell. 19 and 21 to Polk and Burns. All of those schools have loosing records.
Reidsville has played sloppy at times. However; Canada, Canada, Pass and Long on offense are very good. Tray Canada is very elusive. Just when I think hes down, he breaks a long run. I've seen it happen time and time again.

East is loaded with athletes as I am sure the Rams have as well. East is good enough to win and Mauney will be as talented player as the Rams have seen all year but somehow East never plays 4 quarters and that will be the difference. If by chance East brings it for 48 minutes the Rams will get more than they bargained for.
Rams hadn't had to play all 4 quarters usually over by halftime. Know that want be the case friday night hope that don't hurt them. Hope for a good game and injury free May best team win. Safe travel East Rutherford next Friday.

Reidsville is a good program. But I find it interesting that no one has yet mentioned that of their 12-0 record, only 2 (TWO) teams have a .500 or better record. ( including Owen in the playoffs). Not saying they aren’t talented. But they do not play the caliber of competition that East Rutherford plays. Friday will be interesting
You do know reidsville has been to back to back state championships. We also heard all of that then too.
I'm telling you East has some athletes. They get it going it is over.

I wouldn't be afraid to say that East average size on both sides of ball is probably 300 plus pounds
The strength of schedule don't win the games or championship game it's the players and who wants it more and what team shows up Heard it for yrs play cupcakes and we advance to championship and win and have lost sum.
All jokes aside, in all seriousness. Earlier in the season I tried to put myself in a Reidsville fan’s shoes. I asked myself, “How does it feel knowing your ballgame is going to be over by halftime, a running clock in most cases”? How does it feel to no longer have a rival, no rivalry game whatsoever to look forward to?”.
But yet, there y’all were on a weekly basis, getting excited about your game, knowing these things in advance. That’s a peculiar position to be in, however, I respect your immense support. I can’t lie or deny it, any opponent like Graham or Chase in our case, I’m staying at the crib, in my climate controlled setting, and watching the game online, or listening to it on the radio for a half, unless I have a son, nephew, family playing. Kudos to that kind of unconditional support, though.

It sucks. And the gate receipts show it. Word is our staff pushed for a 2A-3A split conference but it fell on deaf ears.
I actually stayed home on all the conference games. Next week should be packed
First off reidsville great football team. But the next 2 weeks will be hardest games this season for them. East Rutherford and mt heritage are almost elite teams. My opinion the champion from the west will come out of this bracket. My money is on the rams.
