Ashbrook is a team East Gaston typically doesn't match up well against athlete wise and I hear they are typical (good athletes). I think we might have something for them this year. We are pretty hard to defend with Robert Washington now in the mix. Being more balanced on offense, kept our defense off the field last week (and better rested). We may get a few of our injured back this week as well, we will need them. This is a big game for us.

Ashbrook fields the worst offense in the league for regular public HS members (not including St. Cramer or LKN), so it will be close despite Ashbrook's better athletes. Don't get me wrong- I think the WR (Jamison) for EG, their RB, plus now Washington has to offer something as well. I wasn't real impressed with their lines...but that might not matter in this game as much.
I think it'll be close.
Prediction:
Ashbrook 34 *on a late Punt return, kick return, fumble or INT in the waning moments of the game.
EG 31

I think East Gaston can pull this one out. Step on the gas early. With a balanced offense, the Warriors could keep the Green Wave defense guessing. The problem will be worrying about at what point of the game will Ashbrook have their game together because they will find at least one quarter to torment your players, coach, and fans.

I agree with Sasha, Ashbrook is just sad right now, If East Gaston can get ahead and maintain a decent defense, then the warriors should no problem.
