North Lenoir had one of their best seasons in years, and they had a big win over co-conference champs Wallace Rose Hill. Can or will the team that defeated the Bulldogs show up again! I don’t think so. AG 43 NL 6

(19)Kinston 6-4 @ (14)South Columbus 8-2
Both of these teams have had a great season, but one has to end here. The key to this game will be if the Vikings can stop the run, and can the Stallions cover the pass. I'm going with Kinston in this one. K 28 SC 20

(21)Roanoke Rapids 6-4 @ (12)James Kenan 9-1
The Yellow Jackets comes into Warsaw to face an Tigers 🐅 team with a bad taste in their mouths from the lost to the Bulldogs. I think the Tigers 🐅 gets back on track and run through the Jackets. JK 42 RR 6

The Pam Pack found some success later in the season, and put together some impressive wins. The Bulldogs once again proved all their naysayers wrong, and finish the regular season playing their best ball of the season. The dogs 🐕 will continue to roll in this one. Wrh 38 W 0

GAME OF THE WEEK
(25)EAST DUPLIN 5-5 @ (8)ST. PAUL’S 8-2
This has to be the best game slated for a first round match up. I don't think neither team would want a difficult first round opponent as this. The Bulldogs has been on a roll heading into the playoffs, and they have a running qb that has caused trouble for the Panthers this season. What happens when two great coaching staffs collide, who comes up with the best game plan for this one! St.P 31 ED 21

Jk @ Wrh rd 3 unless Cummings gets in the way. Martin County is an imposter sitting at #5. Jk should make quick work of them. I’m not gonna pretend I know anything about BC because I know nothing. How crazy would it be if they knocked off Wrh in Duplin County and then returned the following week just to upend JK. I heard some chatter about them not long ago saying they wouldn’t be an easy out. I have both these DC schools advancing out of rd 1. although I do think the Pam Pack could make it a game. Both the Kinston an ED games should be good. I think they are toss ups.

haven’t seen south Columbus in person, but by scores alone I have been impressed with them this year. To keep it decently tight with whiteville and beat a tough pender team counts for something. I just think kinston has too many athletes.
Kinston 27-14

JK vs RR
James Kenan got an excellent draw. With roanoke and martin county in rounds 1 and 2, then a (I believe) very “wanted” round 3 matchup with Wallace rose hill to get some revenge. Hot take here: the tigers will struggle with RR. I think they will be looking ahead to round 3, and this will be a wake up call. I don’t think roanoke is a very good football team, but they have played top notch competition.

WRH vs Washington
Washington is a very sneaky good 29 seed. They have some impressive wins on the resume and most of their losses are close. Wallace rose hill clearly isn’t the same football team that lost to north lenoir though.
Bulldogs 35-7

ED vs St Paul’s
Man. I have to say. I hate that my panthers got this round 1 matchup, especially with East Carteret, Eastern Wayne, Nash central all around the same seed number. This is a tough matchup for us as JKtiger07 alluded to. They have a very talented QB, and athletes all over the field from what I’ve heard. With that being said. We are playing our best ball of the year right now and I’m just not sure if they will be able to stop us. I think it will be a high scoring game where the panthers pull it out late!

If Cummings beats WRH then JK back to back, then southeast alamance is the best team in the east. They won’t beat Wallace rose hill round 2. 0 chance. I actually think southwest edgecombe will beat them in round 1

I agree, I think Cummings will have their hands full against Southwest Edgecombe. I have Southwest pulling the upset.
