I'm not a Carver coach but I'm a diehard Carver guy!! I didn't and don't feel like the score was ran up on us. And as previously stated we don't want anyone feeling sorry for us. It was and is a wake up call for our kids and they were and are embarrassed by the score but they still have their sense of pride and self. They know that East is a better team than them right now but not by 70 points. In four lopsided games we've turned the ball over 19 times. Now maybe 2 or 3 turnovers this year were truly caused by great defensive plays but most of our wounds have been self inflicted!! The kids realize this and they know that they control that by fine tuning things in practice. The East game was a perfect storm of mistakes made by a kid playing qb for the first due to injury of the starting qb. I fully expect our kids to take the field against Parkland tomorrow or later on today and play hard. I'm not predicting victory but on our side of town we don't want pity and we will find a way!!! Whether it's this year or next or the year after that we will be back and the losses now will make us more appreciative when we get there. East fans please don't feel bad for the score of our game and matter of fact if you can just ignore anyone claiming y'all did anything wrong or disrespectful.
