The Shelby linebacker landed a big time offer from the LSU Tigers yesterday. It's hard to believe this young man has another year of high school remaining. He has an unbelievable work ethic, and he's sure to be even more physically imposing coming into next season. Have your popcorn ready, this show will be Rated R due to the violent nature of this young man. Congrats, Dax the Axe. #intellectualbrutality

Yep! Scott is red hot, too, he's next. He's getting interest from several ACC schools. Stites is somewhat of a "tweener", doesn't have the prototypical size to play linebacker in college, but he could play safety, he's fast and aggressive, has always been a tackling machine. He will play baseball on the next level, though. We will have a hellacious defense again next season.

Scott was at UNC this past weekend for jr day.Congrats to Dax for his newest offer. Also saw his brother at bball game Friday night.About 6-2 or 6-3 8th grader.

Hey SHS, I'm happy for Dax. Still want him in Blacksburg though. Hell, unlike all the Crest All Americans, Dax can say he was on a team that beat my Raiders. Well, as an underclassmen anyway!

Wow just in the last week

LSU, Stanford, Notre Dame, FSU, Alabama

Of course just watch this and you can see why... Nonstop motor, great lateral movement and when he hits the ball carrier, they go backwards every single time....Decleats a couple linemen in this video as well

Glad we get to watch him one more year in the Black and Old Gold..

I saw Darian McClain carry dax 3 to 4 yards in a game before he went down. ask any one about Darian leg strength most times it took more than one player to get him to the ground. if you don't believe me ask dax himself. Darian is one strong dude.

McClain is a senior. You're thinking about Mack, his mom graduated w/ me at Shelby, but don't feed into this. These mothers just love the attention, knowing good and well their kids are not going anywhere. Laborn flirted with coming back to Shelby practically every year in the preseason.

Yea Mack. That's what I heard about him. But he doesn't want to leave the Mounties
