WF wins 42-28. Well we gave it a shot...proud of my Dogs for competing hard the whole game. In the end the overwhelming numbers showed up in the 2nd half. Considering that our 1st string qb didn’t play I wanna give some props to the Brinkley kid stepping in and playing very well tonight.
Dogs impressed everybody playing with WF with kids out and a backup qb. Very impressive showing.
Man! Those dogs were throwing jabs early and was about to put the cougars on the ropes. Cougars started pounding to the body in the second half and it paid off late in the fight. I think both teams come out of this game unscathed. Dogs showed they can go toe to toe and should still be considered one of the favorites out of the 2A east once healthy. The Cougars learned alot about themselves in this game, not sure if any future opponents for WF can get any read on what the dogs were able to do early. No one really has the pieces the dogs have and Mots put them in the best situation he could. Despite the final score I still believe matchups like this is good for NC high school football. Hats off to both teams.

WRH, needed someone to do a game thread! Sounds like this was a hell of a game. Way to go dogs.
So proud of the dogs for playing their hearts out and they gained much respect from the wake forest coaches and team after the game the guys were taking pics with each other which was cool
