CVAC 2025

The 9 1A teams would play every year which makes 8 games then other 4 2A teams would rotate every year to make up the other 2 games in season. That would be my guess don't like that idea though I like the idea of an overall conference champion. Can't really do that in that format
I saw that!! Not sure what to make of that Conference still can't wrap my head around Hickory and Saint as a non Conference game SMH, but welcome to the new normal in High School sports period!!

I was at the gym working out earlier this morning. This big kids next to me working out also. So I asked him does he play football at any of the high schools around here. He said no I'm a 7th grader I play at Maiden Middle School. And I was totally flabbergasted. This kid had to be 6'4 probably 260 to 70 lbs. 🤯

Why all the sudden is Maiden leaving out Saint?

@amaidendevil Are you not forced to play anymore? 😉😂
Not necessarily leaving them out. We only have two slots and so does everyone else in the conference...Saint already paired up with two teams in our conference so they are not available.

Saint has everyone to choose from for those two weeks...they picked who they wanted. We'll probably scrimmage them in place of Hickory.

West ? Good idea, Bobert!
Go Ahead Yes GIF

And in our offense he will be able to get to the outside and force defensive backs to take him on. Which probably won't end well for the DB's. And I can see him being lethal in our screen pass game. He won't be just an A or B gap back like at North Lincoln.

If you wouldn't play West Lincoln I don't know why you'd play South Point. Both play 3 yard and a cloud of dust ball just 2 different variations of it.
We would play anyone they put in front of us. But still have a preference to not play boring teams 🤣

Coaches don't won't to play teams that run unique offenses that they have to prepare a ton for when they more than likely won't see that offense again. Some teams didn't want to play us because we run the triple but other teams wanted to play us cause they new they'd see it later on.

With them sticking North Lincoln in our new conference still not totally getting us away from those offenses honestly.. far as I can think of off top of my head.

So, you're saying West might help prepare you? Lol.

Im back to my original suggestion ..SP and Shelby

Win or lose, your RPI goes up like a MuskRocket. SP gets you ready for North. Shelby prepares you for any number of things...

Tell Willie to call the men!

The problem is most schools are taken for week 2. South Point, AC Reynolds, Crest, several Charlotte schools are available right now that have reached out to us. Decision isn't solely based on the team's scheme. Gate $$ matters too...difficulty too. Might be some things I'm missing...but I'm sure it's not black and white.

Isn't South point a wishbone offense that they call redbone ? North is a triple option. And I have a feeling Wingate will wanna be unstoppable that game

South Point travels! Nice, classy folks! Nice stadium. I'm trying to help my Northern Neighbors here!

I think we have played them for 30 plus years in a row. Dont let their boring offense turn you away from this opportunity!

I'm sure he will want that, for sure. And, I would imagine that NL will wanna stop him.

Where does that leave your current heir apparent to the RB position? If I were him, I may be looking to find a place to feature. He was no TH, but was looking pretty danged good to me.

Plenty of successful thunder and lightning running back duo's. And we have a creative offensive head coach.

True that. Cant name many right off the top of my head, tho. High school sports in 2025 has its own new set of problems, with the easy transfers and parental involvement in the economy of promises, playing time, etc...

Word on the street isnt always reliable, but it reports multiple opportunities for acquisitions if the right promises are made, lol.

I don't favor the current landscape, but it is real. I don't know the 'lightning' player at all, so maybe he's embracing the celebrated 🧩 placed ahead of him.

Time will tell!

Like u said not all info is reliable, I've heard some of the pack may not be the happiest and could be open to changes.

So the new NL coach stinks, is that what youre saying?😂
Doesn't stink. Very good defensive mind, excellent man. Happy he's getting a HC shot. He'll have a very good off-season program, weight room warrior, defense will be ready. It's up to personnel and lady luck, no different than the rest of us.

The hot hand wins...or in this case.....the hot feet. There'll be a steady rotation...they'll both get plenty of carries and will stay fresh.
