Congrats to Shelby 17-7 winners over Reidsville

Write it down or take a picture again.....we agree on something. The score should have been about 35-0. We shot ourselves in the foot so many times. Dropped balls, false starts, fumbling on Reidsville's 5 and we gave you your points. Really have to question why we didn't just attempt the field goal...that could have been a huge shift in momentum. A miss would have given you the ball on the 20. We were talking about how we wanted to shut out your offense and not even give up a field goal like we did last year and we did but our QB threw a td pass to the wrong team. As LA said, it has to suck to have this "high powered" offense that has not scored a TD on Shelby in 96 minutes of football. Oh well....as I mentioned, you guys must cringe when the brackets come out and see that your road to the championship could involve Shelby.

Well if you are on another 30 year drought from championship play, you're 1/6 of the way through it. ;)

no way they were gonna score 35 points on that defense. You dont' know how to take a W sometimes.

Great game...may have even been the title game if Reidsville had gone east

Well you just solidified our argument that it is a much easier road to the championship game in the east. Hence, the only time the East has won in the bracket Reidsville has been in was when Reidsville won it from the east. Thanks!

A few thoughts...

Hats off to a outstanding Shelby football team, the better team last night for sure. Reidsville could not get anything going on offense, and the Shelby D is as much as reason why as any. Running lanes were non existent thanks to a non existent passing game.

Shelby #12 was a throwback to old school pocket passing QBs with some of the awareness he showed last night making plays when nothing was there. When he graduates Shelby will lose a great one and a college will gain a special talent. #44 at LB is gonna be special for you guys as well. Just a Freshman? I hope he moves into Crest's district in the off-season.

If any college had any doubts about offering #32 Rankin a scholarship, they need to watch this game tape. One of the young Rams LBs will have some big shoes to fill next to our own #44 next season.

And thanks 98 Champ for being civil this week. While your endless banter normally agitates the masses, you toned it down this week while still being the passionate supporter you are. One of you had a nice jacket, by the way.

I thought coming into this game QB would be the difference and it was.

Some very classy posts from a class school with class fans.May be we can meet again next year.Ram Tough 44 will stay at Shelby for his career, his daddy is one of the football coaches and the head basketball coach.

Shelby QB was the real deal. He burned us last year with a more talented wr group and he burned us this year making plays on his own...Hats off to him...Final note ...I liked the way the kids from Shelby won with class during and after the game..
