Dixon vs Southside -- Both teams dropped their opener last week. Dixon was in a shootout with Swansboro and lost 46-32. Southside was shut out by Adyen-Grifton 20-0. I think advantage Dixon.

Topsail @ Pender -- Pender lost close on 16-12 to James Kenan first game and Topsail won their opener 35-8 over Trask. This should be a close game ... ??

Lejeune @ Spring Creek -- The Devil pups rolled up the points on Jones last Friday and pitched a shutout as well 62-0. Meanwhile Spring Creek took it in the shorts from Smithfield-Selma 34-0. Both will repeat this week.

Croatan @ Swansboro -- The Cougars whipped 3A White Oak 19-2 while the Pirates of Swansboro was outgunned by Southside 46-32. Croatan defense will hold on to win.

Union @ Trask -- Trask lost to Topsail 35-8 and Union was shut out my Midway 28-0. Another toss up, but probably Union.

White Oak @ Richlands -- The Wildcats got bested by East Duplin 26-7 and White Oak had no Offense in a 19-2 loss to Croatan. Dont think the Vikings have the O and nod goes to Richlands.

West Carteret @ East Carteret -- The Mariners of East took a butt whippen 58-6 vs West Craven. West Carteret suffered the same 49-7 at the hands of New Hanover. Who knows about this one ??

GAME OF The WEEK:

Wallace Rose Hill @ SWO -- The Stallions lost their long standing Opener against Jacksonville 27-0. WRH killed East Bladen 44-0. This could be for home field advantage in the Playoffs and another host for the Eastern Div Finals. I dont think WRH will have as easy game or SWO as bad as last week. Im (as always) picken the Stallions over as one WRH stated A NOGGIN KNOCKER at the Corral. Who wears the crown and who wears the lumps.

Interesting games in here this week. Even those teams that took a lump in week 1 will be interesting to see if they can pick themselves up off the mat. I dont expect the SWO vs WRH game to be as high scoring as I've seen some to predict. I think time of possession and defense could play a major role in that 1.

I think you will see two very different teams this week in SWO/WRH. The dogs with a high octane team, capiable of big plays and high scoring along with a very strong defense. SWO more of a ball control on offense and strong defense. Any thing could happen in this one. Each side has confidence in their teams abality. Would not be suprised to see some very strange things in this one.

I think Topsail has no trouble with pender any thoughts on Eduplin at Jacksonville

ED will play the Cards much better then people are predicting. As a Card, i have to go with us, but we better come correct. Those country boys play hard and are very well coached.
