Coach Metzger & Athletic Director Ernie Pursnley will both retain their jobs at Pinecrest.

It is kind of not surprising that Ernie Purnsley and Chris Metzger did not get fired, but I am glad they got to stick around. Kinda helps to have a heavy duty lawyer who bought the school a brand spanking new weight room to help you get out of a serious jam. But, no one got fired at Greensboro Dudley for similar rules violations in 2014. So, fortunately, all is well that ends well. Dudley High School moved on and hopefully Pinecrest will do the same. Now for Coach Metzger to concentrate on getting real opponents for weeks 4 and 6 next season, as well as getting ready overall, for the 2016. I did hear that 4AA state champion Mallard Creek has an opening in week 4. Reckon, the state champion Mavericks will make the trip to Southern Pines?

I never talked to any one person who thought Metzger would get fired, not one.

Not a surprise at all he's still around, its exactly what everyone KNEW would happen.

Does this mean they can still practice during the day and have a full contact scrimmage during the summer at App State?
