I listened to the 910preps podcast last night, they talked about the TS/Clinton matchup. They said to put your chinstraps on because it's gonna be a slobberknocker between the two teams(I'm paraphrasing). But they did say the matchup between Kaba and Terry Sanford's tight end is going to be a good one. The set up for the game is as follows: The first 25 minutes of each matchup is 10 plays from each team from the 10 yard line. Then there's a 5-10 minute halftime, then the remaining 25 minutes is full field play with 4 downs to first down, with option to punt. If a team chooses to punt, wherever the returner catches the ball is where the other team starts play.

Jamboree has been cancelled for tonight rescheduled TBA if anything probably tomorrow

heard from a very good source it will not be made up.

Yeah Wiz we got it all the schools posted about it earlier...also i talked with his Uncle Ryheem is doing very well in Texas moving up the depth chart hopefully we can stream some of their games

And good news fellas according to the resident NC HS Football expert aka By The Front Gate or whatever his name is......our schedule isnt hard so we should start off 6-0 easy but we will be in trouble when we run into his beloved East Duplin and Wallace teams

Me mentioned on a CHS thead? I am honored.

Lets compare non conference schedules using last years results since that is what you are basing the difficulty.

WRH non conference opponents combined record last year was 57-20, East Duplin's was 43-31 and Clinton was 41-31.

WRH is playing one non playoff team (Trask, 5-6) two round one playoff teams (Northside 4-7, East Bladen 9-3), two regional final teams (SWO 12-3, Havelock 13-1), and a State Champ (Wake Forest 14-0).

ED is playing two non playoff teams (Ashley 3-7, Warren County 3-8), a first round team (Richlands, 7-5), a third round team (Hertford 7-6), a regional final team (SWO 12-3), and a State runner up (Jacksonville 11-2).

Clinton has one non playoff team (winless Webb 0-10), four first round teams (Cape Fear 7-5, East Bladen 9-3, Northside 4-7, Central Cabarrus 8-4) and a State runner up (Pamlico 13-2) that was added after you guys were already talking about what a difficult non conference schedule you had.

Look at it objectively and not your old gold and black shades. One could make a very good argument that your schedule is no where as difficult as what WRH has and is comparable or even less challenging than what ED has.

No expert here, I am simply using the same logic for saying your non conference schedule is not as difficult as you make it seem. Of course, you guys could schedule Lakewood, Union, Hobbton, Spring Creek and Dixon and make it seem like you were playing the SEC West so I sorta expected this.

In any event, best of luck.

First of all no one said anything about Clinton having the toughest schedule period....challenging yes and the fact you said we would schedule Hobbton,Lakewood etc and make it seem like the SEC shows your ignorance and basically proves what i already thought of you after all your the guy that watches one game reads one article in a paper and all a sudden knows everything about a program and what we have returning also the fact you go on another thread "NC Preps Elite 8 ranking" and try to assume Clinton posters have a problem with not being mentioned when no one said a damn thing once again proving my previous opinion about you definitely not the brightest crayon in the box...lastly if you dont care to read about Clinton or see Clinton posters posting about Clinton dont click on the thread simple

All this coming from the same idiot that had the conference title decided what 2 or 3 weeks into the season......A wise man doesnt argue with fools...so ima leave this one alone and i think i kept this about as clean as i can dont wanna get booted off the site

Never said anyone said anything about having "the toughest schedule". Two months ago your posters were the ones saying you had a tough non conference schedule and the such. Point was then as it is now, that when you peel back layers it wasn't that strong of a non conference schedule. You were basing it on last years results and all I did was show that when you look at it objectively, it wasn't that difficult and probably still isn't that hard considering Pamlico lost the majority of their team and the head coach.

Why call me ignorant and an idiot for simply having a different opinion? I based an argument with facts. You had a decent team last year. Your record last year and playoff performance shows that. You lost to a very average East Duplin team. That is also a fact. Yet afterwards, your fan base only blamed the officials. I did say last year that I thought the conference championship would be decided between WRH and ED, and going into the last game of the season that was also a fact. Yes, Clinton and JK also played a role in deciding the outcome, but if ED had defeated the Dogs, they not Clinton would have won the conference based on the head to head result.. Show me where that was incorrect.

Again, props to Clinton for their past success. No one argues that point, but as another poster pointed out on another thread, Nebraska use to win national titles but hasn't done anything in the past decade or so. I fully expect you to finish second this year and no shame in that either. You have an outstanding player who I was very impressed with last year.

Again, best of luck this season.

Its all good. Nothing wrong with rational discourse. Everyone has opinions and while they have good intent, they are often extremely biased. I was perfectly content with just reading the thread, but the poster included my name in a post (or something close to it) so I responded.

Again, I am a Duplin County football fan. I live in the Wallace area and follow the Dogs more closely than the others but like to see all do well and have success. I just think its funny to read the banter that goes on with the Clinton posters about uniforms, artificial turfs, closed practices, Facebook pages, sound systems, painted end zones and the like. They cant even get along with each other much less handle it when someone like myself or Chopper (on the other thread) have a different point of view.

Cant wait for the season to start. Should be fun.

By the fence mentioned Lakewood and Union. Is that the same Lakewood and Union along with Pender that Wallace had to beat 3 years ago in the playoffs on their way to a championship

Dang, you just listed a good portion of James Kenan's non conference schedule this year. Clinton does have a better non conference than that.

Very astute observation though. The 1-AA playoffs especially in the east were in many years less of a challenge than the regular season. Very good Clinton team that year beat us by a couple of TDs if memory serves me correctly.

Still, key part of your statement was "on their way to a championship". Some teams went out the third round that season.
