Whats crazy is we interviewed her on senior night against union at halftime during the FB game this year, she was wearing carolina gear. Girl grew up a heels fan, still rocks the attire, but for some reason chose dook. Either way, she is a heel at heart.
Mikayla and Alex are beasts on D. Both, especially Boykin lives up to all the hype! Many steals and layups. She was little off on her threes or she would have put up 60. Gotta pull for her no matter what university she attends! CHS basketball teams host Northside tonight.

Monarch fans, welcome to DarkHorse Stadium. For those wanting to get something to eat pre-game our stadium concession stand is excellent! Wasn't able to make it but had updates all night and will be watching the game later so I can give an honest opinion. Congrats to the Dark horses on one heck of the year and a football team to remember. And a big congrats to my Alma Mater NHS, been around team since the doors opened very proud.
Congratulations to the Northside Monarchs. They earned it, outplayed the DarkHorses and deserved it. No excuses here. Good luck next week in the eastern championship.

Great season for the Horses. Hurts that we will not be competing next Friday, but it is what it is. Congrats to NS-Jax for coming to Clinton and beating us like they did. Questionable play calling IMO cost Clinton that game and a shot at East Duplin next week. Good luck to the Monarchs the rest of the way and whoever represents the East come Saturday the 17th.
Didnt want to say anything about it but yes some very very questionable play calling.....think we should of went to that shotgun alil sooner....and had opportunities to kick field goals twice in the 1st half....but im just a fan and Lewis is a hall of fame coach so......also Coach Pollock from NS showed hugeeeeeee balls going for it 4th and 2 on something like there own 45 yard line....hell if they dont get that we may be talking bout a different game that was after a Clinton score and we had all the momentum
Gave up alot of big plays to #5 and could not stop that QB scrambling late in the game......this may go in my top 5 of most bitter defeats.....had some high hopes for this team

Chopper747, I agree, but my Daddy always told me when I was younger and I didn't understand, "Son the best team doesn't always win", , and now in my 67 years I have come to realize he was correct. The DarkHorse's had a great run. They were very talented, but they're high school kids, and anything can happen at a time like this. I appreciate your support and compliments during the season. It just wasn't suppose to happen for whatever reasons. 13-1 still isn't bad and in all due respects I'm glad AFTER the fact that a team like East Duplin or Northside after years of disappointments will get to play in a state championship game. The DarkHorse's will come back next year. They will always be a force to reckon with.
So whats next for Clinton???.....losing alot of quality players alot of holes to fill....we will be getting alot of kids from a 9-1 JV team....tough non conf schedule to look forward to which includes Cape Fear who is playing in the 4A east regional next week....Kris Williams Jaylen Smith AJ Williamson Khari Williams Hampton Brock just a couple key guys returning....dont expect Clinton to just disappear think we will be back in the thick of things next year....heard alot of good things about the Faison kid....just have to wait and see.....guess ill head over to the basketball forums.....good season Horses
I think the future is bright for the DsrkHorses. A great Jc squad , some of which got some varsity experience. A excellent base to build on
Clinton High School will probably never win another state championship in football until the season is shortened and basketball is moved back a couple of weeks. QB/S Kris Williams was not in the Northside game the way he had been the entire season. He didn't throw, run or cover the way he had been the previous 13 games. He's an awesome athlete and a kind young man. I just don't think it was all there Friday night. I think he is ready for basketball. Just my opinion... Football players that want to play basketball just get so far behind as was true for Jeremiah Pope last year. We really could have used him this year on the gridiron.
I still feel bad for those seniors...Skinner, Wright, Murphy, Kramer, Page, etc. I believe THEY wanted IT badly!!! Some of the underclassmen didn't. The O-Line, mostly underclassmen, did not block as they had been all season, either. FORGIVE ME if I am wrong. I'm just a fan. Not a coach, not a parent and these guys are just teenagers. Again, it's just my opinion!

It was just a bad game for Kris Williams dont think his mind was on basketball....as far as the o line yes they struggled mightily assignments were missed but credit Northside they obviously studied film and were well prepared.....think we should of went to the shotgun alot sooner to spread the defense out but thats just me and i think we should have attempted field goals in the red zone....no point of having a good kicker if u not going to use them but hey it is what it is.......Clinton will be back in the conversation next season some holes to fill but a good 9-1 JV team coming up
There was a lot of talk around the school yesterday that the underclassmen DID let the senior class down on purpose. But again that's just talk, rumor...what have you. It's over, done, in the past.
And dont get me started on the "i only want to play basketball guys".....i guess kids are built different now adays cause when i was going thru school we played everything and our coaches encouraged us to.....honestly you may miss 4-5 basketball games but having a chance to win a state championship whats 4-5 games.....if your that good it wont matter think your setting yourself up for success but really you failed to maximize your opportunities by sitting out...im not saying any names or pointing out specific kid but we all know who it is....not trying to sound mean but you played football for all 3 years in high school whats the point of sitting one year out??? But it its what it is i rather have a kid who is 100% in it instead of someone just bidding time till basketball season
Kids talk its just what it is a rumor.....i dont see why underclassmen would not put out on purpose really makes no sense
