Here we go again.....rematch from a game earlier this season in which Clinton won 35-16....NSJax is a very good team they have a nice passing game and the athletes to give us trouble at 10-3 only loses have been to us East Duplin, and Havelock....alot of history with these two teams old foes from the ECC had alot of battles throughout the mid 2000's.....a couple major factors Clinton's talented DE/TE Prentice Murphy did not get to play in the game earlier this season so look for him to possible be a difference maker especially when it comes to pressuring the QB#8 he had a helluva game tonight South Granville had no idea what to do with him 12 tackles (2sacks).......another factor Clinton losing DB Jamarian Smith so we been breaking in a new DB and will have to go one on one with some tough NSJAX WRs.....Should be a great game im sure Lewis & Staff will have the boys ready to go

Agreed, should be a great game. Hard to call this one with both teams playing strong in the playoffs. Northside had a shaky start against bunn who has some amazing running backs. Which is a good look when you are about to play Clinton. But defense was there the whole game, same for against Randleman. If defense holds up I can see a defensive battle happening Friday night. This game has a lot of good football history and should continue that Friday.

I'm kinda anxious for Clinton... I didn't want to see this rematch because I want to play the dark horses in two weeks. (Of course we have our own garden to tend) Northside is not a team you want to face twice.

Of couses the 2005 & 2006 teams are not the 2016 teams but in both of those years the DarkHorses played the Monarchs twice in each season the 2nd gamer game both being for the eastern championship with the DarkHorses prevailing in both occasions.

i was on the sideline for both of those games. But like you said new teams. And after being at the game last night Northside has a chip on their shoulder and they take the term "Road Warrior" serious. Hope there is a great turnout for this game. It will be the game to watch.

I was sitting on the visitor's side at last night's game, and I overheard some of the South Granville fans talking about the PA announcer, wondering why he wasn't doing a lot of talking. He did not announce who the captains were during the coin toss, and even didn't announce some of the penalties that were called. I'm kinda curious as well.

Clinton has played with a chip on our shoulder all year because of the way last year ended....a sluggish start against North Lenior has woken this team up last night was the team i been watching all year.....if we play our game dont turn the ball over and limit the big plays we win by 2-3 TDs......remember the first meeting Clinton did not throw a single pass....we didnt need to but over the last couple weeks the passing game has caught fire and Lewis is alot more confident throwing the ball

I don't even want to call this one. It's a shame that one of these great teams has to lose. All I can say is it's hard to beat a really good team twice!

Keys to this game for Clinton will be ball control offense limiting a explosive NSJax offenses possessions....turnovers we cant have em on offense and defense needs to generate some....pressure pressure pressure gotta get in #8 face and cause him to throw it before he is ready and a couple sacks wouldn't hurt.....defense line did a great job last night against South Granville's Tucker Brown....we really limited him he had over 1100 yards passing and 700 yards rushing going into that game......defense will need to come up big again come Friday

Yes its hard to beat a good team twice but this is a special team if Clinton plays our game we should win

i went to the East Duplin/Northside game and can confirm that NS is a good team. having not seen Clinton play, but hearing a whole lot about them, i give Clinton about a 2 TD win, "if" both teams play up to their potential. i think NS is definitely good enough to beat Clinton if Clinton plays sloppy or whatever, but like i said, if both teams play up to their potential, i feel Clinton has the stronger, more balanced team. NS, while good, is a little more of a finesse team than what im used to seeing from them. i think Clinton will control the line of scrimmage and smash mouth their way to victory. it should still be a good game however. im sure both teams will come ready to play.

Clinton won the first meeting 35-16. But NS has athletes to score a bunch if you aren't defensively sound.

Spoke with him after reading this, he said that from the pressbox it was hard to read the numbers for S.Granville and the lighting in the pressbox is poor so at times he said he felt he rather not call a name if not sure he had the correct person. I was in the box on the radio and also had trouble with S.Granville's numbers. Sorry for the confusion.

Oh ok. I told the folks that our PA announcer was top notch, but that's what I was figuring, that he was having difficulty seeing the numbers. I had to squint to see the players with the single numbers.

Really hope the team has a good focused week of practice the defensive gameplan the coaches put together last time these to met ws benchmark and add in the fact we will have the services of Prentice Murphy to shutdown that QB rolling out to the farside.....Lewis knows how to get the best out of his teams this part in the season.....looking forward to Friday night alil anxious but this team will be ready

being at the game against bunn you saw some old Northside with lining up and running it down your throat. This is a whole different team from the first game. Defense is immensely better and that includes our end play. Things will be a little different this game. Going to be a close one. But if both teams play up to their "potential" well then I'd be very scared of Northside. Especially with how defense is playing and how our offensive line is playing. Clinton is a tough team to beat no matter the circumstance. But they can't miss a beat Friday. I've got Northside winning this 28-21.

Good luck lining up and running the ball against this defense plays to our strength....i thought in the first game NSJax should of stuck to passing the ball at times and chose to try the run and we shut it down......Offensively its going to be tough to keep Clinton off the board ......only once this season we have not scored 30+ and that was on a wet sloppy field in Elizabethtown

This should be a battle. I got the dark horses in a close one although I think Northside is a great team.

Clinton QB Kris Williams up to 878 yards passing one more solid game he could hit 1,000.....not a big deal to most teams but for us at Clinton have not seen a 1,000 yard passer since 2001.....shows we have alot more balance this year

Young gun13, this Clinton team is much much better than the game 3rd game of season. In that game Clinton was without one of their defensive stalwart DE Prentise Murphy. Also in that game Clinton didn't even attempt a pass, now they're passing the ball frequently in addition to their powerful running game. I know NS is a very good team but it's going to take a tremendous effort too beat this DarkHorse team. Maybe NS has that, I know the DarkHorses do.

Still too early to say, alott of football left to. be played but potentially they could be the best team since the 97-98 team. They could be, mind you could be in the top 3. How they finish down the stretch will determine that but they're in that company I think.

Horses will not allow this opportunity to pass...still have unfinished business to take care of before the class of '17 departs. Clinton wins a hard fought match 28-16.

I feel like Prentice Murphy will be a key factor his ability to pressure the QB will be big.....Clinton's passing game could be a difference maker aswell like it was already mentioned Clinton did not attempt a single pass last time these two met......my score prediction Clinton 31 Northside 13

Totally off subject but i heard Clinton's Mikayla Boykin dropped 46 points last night anyone go to the game????

I of course respect y'alls opinion. But I'm sure Northside will be happy to see some balls in the air. Very good DBs and safeties for the Monarchs. Another thing people don't notice sometimes is that our quarterback throws better under pressure which is usually reversed but he can throw very well on the run. There a lot of factors people don't look at but like I said I respect your opinions but it's going to be a lot closer. Northside wins by 7

Good luck; Clinton's best pass rusher whom is a beast didn't play n the first game; our safety has 11 interceptions. I expect Northside to bring a strong game.I'm sure the team does too. They will be well prepared/

Yea, we have seen some good D line men and good defenses, just going to be about turnover and who can stay on the field longer.

Lack of a kicking game may comeback to bite them aswell going for two every time can be big but if you dont get it your chasing points the rest of the game......ask my Carolina Panthers about that

One on one coverage ill take Prentice Murphy or Tyion Wright against any DB/S anyday.....hope they put all 11 guys in the box tryn to stop our stable of RBs
