Good, clean game by both teams. Defensively, I felt like Clinton did well but their offense provided no help. Missed fourth down in the first was costly. Also, not sure why Clinton’s punt returner likes to live life on the edge. All in all I thought it was a great game. Northeastern was clearly the better team but Clinton was never really out of it. Good luck in the championship next week Northeastern.

Congratulations to Northeastern, no excuses here, the Eagles were just the better ball team tonight. Really impressed with the kicker. He was a big difference in the ballgame scoring 11 points and kickoffs all in the endzone. Definitely a D1 kicker. Northeastern was big and strong. I’m still proud of our DarkHorses though. They played hard until the end. Who knows a couple of breaks might have been closer, not that it was a clear runaway, but in the end, Northeastern was just better.

Good Luck to the Eagles next week in Winston-Salem against Reidsville. I do hope the NCHSAA does what is right and gives y’all the 3 pm time slot because of the travel distance travel (as opposed to distances of either of the 2AA opponents) but over the years I’ve never had alot off confidence in the NCHSAA administration. If they can mess it up they will; but whatever the case I’m sure the Eagles will be ready to play. Great coaching job by Coach Moore.

That's a crying shame they would have the team & their fans with the furtherst traveling distance, the earliest game at 11AM. What kind of starting time is 11AM? There are other hours in the day! My last comment on it. Like I said if the NCHSAA can mess up a decision making process they will. It time they hire a real executive director.

One of the worse SWO state championship games I went to was in Winston Salem. Cold, Icey, and Albermarle had this huge running back that looked like Jerome Bettis that day. Four hour trip for a game that we got blown out in first half. Wish they would drop Winston and go back to having a game at Duke (able to catch multiple games when all games are in the triangle)
