This will be Clinton's first game since the Cape Fear game will not be made up. East will be playing in it's second game after being shut out by Wallace-Rose Hill. Clinton will be chomping at the bit after not seeing any action in two weeks, and Coach Priest will have his boys ready to go. The Dark Horses and the Eagles have a long history, so all records are thrown out the window. Folks with better knowledge of Clinton have said that this defense is even better than last year's squad. With that being said, I think the Horses take this one at Robinson-Lewis Field.

This is a rivalry game so throw out whatever happened last week. Robbie Priest and East Bladen will be looking to show they are better than the 44-0 lost to WRH. Advantage EB they have had a chance to get the first game jitters and mistakes out the way meanwhile Clinton hasn't played a live game since the Thursday Night scrimmage vs Terry Sanford on the 15th. Like someone mentioned above throw out the records when these two play the Eagles usually travel well so i expect a big crowd from Elizabethtown its going to be a typical Clinton/East Bladen game smashmouth 3 yards and a cloud of dust type football more physical team usually wins this matchup. I expect the normal first game miscues and some rust from Clinton. Score prediction Clinton 33 East Bladen 7

I just hope we play! The East Bladen vs Clinton football series is the longest continuous series in DarkHorse history. It started before my time here in 1972, I think it goes back into the 1940-1950s when it was Elizabethtown High School.

Yes! I watched the game Saturday. Cardinal Gibbons O-line and D-line handled WF all game and their secondary was burned on more than one occasion. I also noticed that WF didn’t make many substitutions like they have in the past. Now that may change as the season rolls along, but if not it will be that much more difficult to defeat Wallace.

And slightly off subject but any Clinton folk that care to know Ryheem is doing well in Texas talked to his uncle said they had a scrimmage the other day Ryheem scored twice Coaches really like the way he runs. Tarleton State is ranked 7 in D2 preseason polls opens season Sept 7th if i find a way to watch ill let yall know

Clinton by 35+ EB need more kids to come out and play. They have a nice core, but behind them, it's little to nothing. They should have more kids now that school is back in.

Like i mentioned before i dont think EB is as bad as some are putting on credit Wallace a really good team can make someone look alot worse than they actually are....reading up on the Eagles they have size amd experience on the offensive line and some good athletes they usually do if we come out sleep walking we could be in for a rude awakening........hopefully kids on our team aren't reading the stuff up here and thinking they just have to show up.....better be ready to play cause i know the Eagles will be looking to get that bitter taste out their mouth from last week

JV team very young and our middle school hasn’t exactly been lighting it on fire. Considering all that plus our Rec dept not even being able to even field 3 11man football teams in 11-12yr old division, and well......this year could be our last legitimate opportunity for a loooooooooonnnnng time.

I think we have atleast one more decent year before it drops but you never know kids grow kids get better coaching helps maybe new kids start to play you never know but yes its going to be a rough year for the JV Horses
