TD Anson 5 yard scramble by QB. So a couple scores on our second teamers has made this one look alot closer. 2 point conv good. 33-27 15 seconds left
1st play 3rdqtr, TD pass DarkHorses; I think it was then decided. Lets just say alot of people played the 2nd half. Good to see that many getting in. I think Coach knows his team and didn't knee jerk when things appeared to get tight. Got the W, move on the Northside at DarkHorse stadium next Friday night with a thousand DarkHorse fans in attendance, social distancing of course. Ticket can only be purchased online at GoFan.com. Thanks #34 We got off to a slow start. Made some mistakes that held us back but got it going in the 4th qtr. It's weird when you can hear everything the coaches are saying down on the field. Next Friday will be a first for me. It will be the first time in my life I can say I was at a football game for my birthday! I'll be 62. That sounds weird too just saying it. It was fun to be able to see some football tonight.

And to piggyback on what wiz sais earlier for it to be the first game we played a relatively clean game not alot of penalties that you normally see first game of the year. I think we had the 1 facemask on defense. Offense line got 2 illegal man downfield blocking calls for basically actively seeking out defenders to hit which i dont see aa a bad things atleast the kids are aggressive just gotta tell em "hey guys i know you wanna hit someone but on passing plays only so far u can go pass the LOS. 1 holding call and of course the fumble that led to the scoop and score. A couple of miss handle snaps but that happens sometimes when you changing QBs. Besides a pretty clean game. And i know the final score is somewhat misleading but come on Clinton is up 20 when they pull the starters one of the coaches explained 5 freshmen 4 sophomores and 2 first time varsity juniors were in the game when Anson scored those final 2 TDs so hats off to Anson for not quitting and continuing to fight but nothing to panic over. I will say i was kinda sweating on that last onside kick lol
And like i mentioned before love the balance both QBs played great made great throws good decisions WRs made some nice catches by the sound of things. In the past opposing defenses main strategy against us has been 10 in the box dare em to throw. Johnson and Grady continue to push us to being a more balanced team offensively and i like it.
I'm not sure where clinton is ranked. But this should put them in the top 10.

Im sure not playing for so long will have an affect on most teams. Probably take a couple of weeks to see what teams really are.
I applaud Coach Johnson for pulling the starters early and going with them even though it got edgy at the end. We had scored 4 out of the first 5 times we had the ball so offensively the starters could score at will. The subs and jv’s ( they had no JV game) deserved to play too and they played meaningful minutes , not just final minutes of the game. That builds teamwork, comradely. They all been eating to play a game for well over year. Looks like they may have picked up where they left off after a highly successful 12-2 (2019) season
