End of the 1st half. Clinton had it 1st and goal inside the 10 but failed to score . ED to receive 2nd half kickoff with a chance to tie the game.

I’ve been watching this one. It’s a very entertaining game. Not much defense at all but sure fun to watch. The Northeastern game is live on First Flight High School Facebook page, not much to see there but it is halftime in Beaulaville
Defensive 3rd quarter no points by either team. ED had the ball inside the Clinton 10 Clinton gets huge interception to hold with 10:24 left in game
Clinton fumbles ED recovers their ball 6 mins left in game.....its gonna come down to this drive i think. Definitely 4 down territory the rest of the way...mmand if ED scores im willingly to bet they go for 2
ED scored went for 2 Clinton stopped them....3 mins left 28-27....Clinton still needs to pick up a first down or 2.....what a game....hands are definitely sweaty
East Duplin has a really good ball team they gave us everything we wanted and more tonight. But honestly we needed a game like that. Some ED faithful may question going for 2 but i would of done the same thing matter fact i knew it was coming. Great job by Clinton to hold up that play. And the gutsy call and trust Coach Johnson had in his QB to go for it on 4th and 2 to end the game. Honestly its a shame someone had to lose tonight but ill take it. Now on to these Conference playoffs looking like us vs James Kenan next Friday
Have to hand it to ED, like my WolfPack last night they clearly went for the win and came up just short. You have to respect that.
At this point in a season I don’t care if it is March when it comes down to ED, WRH, you can expect everyone’s best shot. It didn’t surprise the Wizard.

Never question Coach Holly I would have done the same thing. He's always keeps them fighting until the end. Congrats to the horses think you have something there if the defense gets a little better before the playoffs. Good luck
We are really missing Wilson on defense hope he is able to return before the playoffs. #2 Mcclarin cuts and vision was awesome he would get behind those linemen/blockers put a foot in the ground and be gonnnnnnnnnneeeeee kid was fastttttt camera on NFHS couldnt keep up with him lol.
Also ED had 10 or 11 tenth graders starting or playing most of the time tonight. ED will be back
Me too 34 if the situation were reversed I’d go with no; fortunately we held. Look at how many points per game ED is scoring, not you average 1-4 team. Nit making excuses fir the DarkHorses but the grit and grind of the ECC is always tough.(on another note i’m in Greenville, SC family visiting and was watching the game on NFHS ED broadcasters, they did a good job, excited but good . On the onside kick NFHS lost their signal. Not good at a time like that! I got 04 Jonathan and Ron on WCLN, whew, they told it before it happened as the NFHS connection did resume in the last couple min!
Just unfortunate yall have lost 4 games by a total of 14 points. If this was a regular season yall would give someone hell in the playoffs. But yes ED is going to be hell next year oops i mean this fall
I have to give it to my Panthers!! They played with such grit all night. Coaching staff did a great job preparing the guys and they were clearly the underdog in this one, especially with the size the Horses had and the athletes on both sides of the ball. Proud of my guys and ED is the best 1-4 team in the state of North Carolina no matter what anyone says.
Further research East Duplin's 4 lost came from teams with a combined record of 18-2 by a total of 14 points definitely not your typical 1-4 team. Like i said if this was normal year where ED could churn out some late season wins and squeeze into the playoffs they would give a higher seeded team hell. This fall ED will be one of the best in the East.
Tough as nails are the boys in beulaville. If they could find some balance to their offense and could sprinkle in a few more passes to keep teams out of the box, they be real tough. #2 is fast as lightning.

We talk alot about how good Kesean is but man if Patrick Morrissey #5 didnt have a helluva game. Didnt know he had that kinda speed turned the corner and took it to another gear. And i know some outside looking in saw last night as a bad defensive performance but i saw a defense stand up when it had to. Those forced turnovers and that goalline stand on the 2 point try were huge. A bad defense does not make those plays. We will only get better moving forward but those type of games arent bad sometimes you need that push. Dont have to worry about complacency creeping in.
And no game stats or anything from the news paper today smh lol
Most time away games he takes a few days like 04 said for some dang reason the Sampson Independent doesnt have a writer to cover Clinton. Hell i would do it for free if they let me and if i wasnt leaving

shoutout to East Duplin and their fan base. Truly engaged throughout the entire game. They love their football. Also, idk if I’ve ever seen a team after coming through their team entrance run to mid-field all take a knee and pray together. Regardless of anyone’s beliefs it was a blessing to see. In today’s society everyone is worried about stepping on someone’s toes or doing the wrong thing, ED coaches and players didn't care they were at school, who was watching, they were giving glory to god before the game and to me it was a beautiful thing to see being done in this day and age. Well done.

Class act!; best 1-4 team anywhere , higher seed teams better be thankful this is a abbreviated season because a full season ED would have worked their way into the playoffs and given some higher seeded team fits. I believe 04 or 34 has already said that but I’m just reaffirming it’s true. Lookout this fall for ED
