Horses coming off a huge win vs WRH, ED coming off a loss to JK, this should be a classic matchup between two rivals. Horses showed me something yesterday vs WRH, heart. I say clinton wins 24-14.

Both will be 2AA. No stake in this one for SWO. Should be a good game unless ED cant get it back together. They havnt looked good so far this year. Clinton seems to be reverting back to their old ways....and thats good. Just because .....I say Clinton either by 17 if ED comes to play or a Bunch if they dont.
Clinton ADM is 812, no way that’s 2AA, ED will be 2AA though for sure.
Thats good news. I would really like to see us play each other again. Been a while since both teams back to full speed. It would really be a HORSE SHOW. Seeding and brackets look to be a mess this year. So will wait for a couple weeks to see how that plays out.
Think ED will come out fired up after being embarrassed but im confident in our run defense to slow down the Panthers ground game and our new look offense with Evans and Big Smith grinding out the yards.....Clinton 24 East Duplin 10

I know its not the norm for the Panthers but i would not be surprised if they try and pass alil bit on us after watching the WRH game film im sure they would try and exploit that weakness......but doesnt look like something they are comfortable with just like us
They switched to a spread offense against JK, and ran the qb some. But it won't help against Clinton defense, from what I seen Saturday night
I checked it out 3 QBs they have used altogether combined for just over 400 yards 4 tds 4 ints so just like us they rather keep it on the ground.......#8 Brown has right at 1,000 yards so stopping him should be priority #1 for our defense,but at the same time we need to be more aware of whats happening in the secondary....too many times our LBs and DBs got froze watching the show in the backfield(Play Action)while #15 just ran free in clear for long catches all night.....i mean it was just pitch and catch.....that's gotta get better
Kaba will eat Brown. ED QB is nowhere near Basden so y’all should have your way with them. But I’m sure Clinton will be working on coverage a ton in next few weeks with the Tigers coming soon.
I hope so.....WRH misdirection/counters gashed us a couple times and they beat us to the outside on one or 2 but for the most part the run defense was solid...Kaba and Cruse were able to fly around and make plays we will need that again this week......but i fully expect to see ED test us in the pass game looking at the film how could you not atleast try it.....until we stop it
WRH is the best at running the Wing-T it’s easy to get caught looking in one place and the ball being in another. Basden isn’t the most accurate QB by any means but every Dog finds a bone at some point. JK held the Wing-T in check all night against ED and for a half against WRH. If a defense can play disciplined for a full game they can beat WRH
JK defense does a really great job of punching the ball out and creating these turnovers. There were big hits but none of those resulted in fumbles. Great job by the boys (Salem Kornegay) of knowing how to knock a ball out.
In regards to Clinton everyone knows we like to run the ball but the new different formations we have used this year has been awesome.....that formation they used on the first drive of the Wallace game....man....They didnt know what to do and couldnt stop it...eventually they adjusted to it but it was something i haven't seen all year and im positive Wallace didnt see it coming.......so who knows what they have planned for East Duplin
I imagine Clinton plays ED fairly conservative. Don’t throw plays out there you don’t have to. Clinton probably is saving a whole bag of tricks for JK and playoffs.
If we have a good week of practice and no key injuries(praying), I figure Friday will take care of itself.
Evans and Wallace need to sell that RPO a lot better, especially the jet sweep. Even if the play is designed for Evans, he needs to learn how to ride(no pun intended) that ball in Wallace's gut. That Bulldog corner didn't crash in all night.
Coach Johnson will have them ready to go.....just be 1-0 for the week
Thing is ,ED offense looked as weak as I've seen it. You can believe ED going to run the ball or try. If our passing game didn't beat you,theirs won't. And ours was pretty good.
I've seen your #15 doing the same thing to other defenses in his film bites. Our pass D needs to improve greatly, because if Basden had connected on a few more passes, the outcome may have been different.
JKs passing game will be the one y'all have to worry about,not ED. Y'all can practice against ED.
I wouldn’t call them “RPO’s” we Have yet to throw off of a fake Jet option. Not to say it won’t happen just not yet.
That pass with about 20 seconds off the kids fingertips...i thought that was the ballgame having flashbacks of the ending a season ago......but a play or two before that our DB drops probably the easy interception he'll ever get......honestly if i was Mot i would of ran the same play to #15 until we showed we could stop it.....we literally didnt stop him all night
I agree. This is the second team to have success passing against Clinton, only to virtually abandon it for the run game. I can only imagine how much running around the boys are gonna do against Avent and JK.
We only went to the air 14 times against ED. I imagine we will need to bump that to 30 plus against Clinton.
Well hopefully for us our main DB will be back for that game i heard he is close either the last week or back for the playoffs
I admit that I had concerns after the departure of Clinton's senior O-line last year that this year's O-line would be the biggest struggle for the Horses this year, but this young line has proven me wrong.
One can hope. Either way still have to win out to get conference title. If dogs beat tigers this Friday we would still have to beat them to avoid a 3 way tie which means they would draw straws and Clinton would most certainly get shaft on that deal......oh dogs have to win out for that to be possible. Can’t beat Jk then lose to ED.
