Good game Clinton. Dogs hang tough considering losing top running back and one of our better defensive guys for tonight. No excuses though. I thought our playcalling could have been a lot better. Defense played well enough to win.
agreed however you gained Gardner and that kids is a beast. Between Roberts and Dalrymple I doubt Gardner gets that many caries. We didn’t have Kaba so maybe it wasn’t equal in # but we felt a loss too.

Congrats to Clinton on a huge win. Y’all defense played lights out the whole game. I predicted a Clinton win because I know what I have seen on the field from previous games on both teams. Some of our play calling sure does ensue some head scratching! We were moving the ball very well in the 3rd quarter on the traps up the middle and then get to 4 and 1/2 yard to go and run it outside, which y’all had shut down all night long, and get stoned. Just makes no sense. Crowd and atmosphere were great as usual. I’m sure we will get to witness these 2 teams battling it out again in a few weeks at Darkhorse stadium.
Big win for Clinton. Could be a deep run in the makings for the Dark Horses.
You predicted the Darkhorses to win cause you said they would wear down our defense. Didn't happen that way. We are not healthy. One other reason that I will not share in public, but at this point I don't think that will change. Can't cut play calling cause that actually what kept us in the game. Clinton is good and knows how to grind it out, but they were fortunate tonight
Kind of disagree with missing Kaba tonight. Tho I do agree that you always want #3 on the field,I think your Darkhorses are playing great as a team. Nothing at all negative meant by that statement.
Just in the scheme of things we both were missing key pieces although Clintons team defense especially has stepped up in his absence. Great game. We’re fortunate to have won, but we earned it.
Yeah olddog. The one fourth down call,I knew 3 was going to get ball running north/ south. Not complaining tho.
yes and Clinton held them out from scoring twice. Great defensive game tonight for the Horses. I think there was great defensive play by both teams. ,
I will just say that you and I see different things. IMHO, this particular WRH team just doesn’t have IT this year. We don’t have the line play on either side of the ball. We can’t just drive down the field running the ball like the last few years. We do break one every now and then, which is exactly how I predicted we would score. Good defensive lines shut us down because we don’t have adequate blocking to get our speed to the edges. Our inside traps were working well and when it counted on the 4th down, we run a play around the edge that we had no chance of picking up the 1st. That was such a huge play in the game. Dalrymple getting hurt didn’t help but they were without one of the best lbs in high school and their defense still shut us down. Clinton was not fortunate to win that game, they deserved to win because they sure as hell earned it.
Not trying to take anything away from that effort. Mad respect for ur program. Hard to win without converting those! Hey, somebody had to win. C ya in about 4 wks we do it again with starters playin. Ur guy too. Good victory for u guys
Nah dude. Clinton been without Kaba for a few games. They have moved past him as a team. We lost Cameron in first qtr. You sure do see it different. If we can get healthy,Bulldog can run through the East. If you can't see that,I don't want to think like you. You basically predicted Clinton would wear down WRH's defense and predicted a Darkhorse win.You were half right. But not really,cause Clinton won by seven one score,not two. So are you predicting a Darkhorse win in a rematch
And Clinton is without a all American linebacker but hey injuries are apart of the game right
And instead of dwelling on a injury how bout give props to the kid that came in and stepped up #3 was tooting the groceries like it was nobodies business only a junior
All BS to the side just like i said prior to this game.....for the winner its not over....and for the loser its not over.... the games that really matter start in a few weeks and still 2 conference games to play worse thing anyone can do at this point is be satisfied
Excuses, excuses. Clinton was without important impact players on their roster due to 'health reasons'.
Games like these only make an old SWO fan like myself remember what the old ECC was about with E. Duplin, Clinton, SWO, and WRH use to be. It was nothing to lose this game, and beat them in the playoffs.
I jumped on NE for losing a big game last week. I would have to say WRH needed to win this game! Along with playing a monster schedule sometimes you have to win the big game too. WRH came into the season very hyped. It was realistic to think WRH would only have one loss going into the playoffs. There big games were Havelock, SWO, Wake Forest, and Clinton. They got there revenge on SWO from last year, had a good showing with Wake Forest, but have taken there losses to Havelock and now Clinton.
Can't wait to find out how the seedings fall this year. Could you imagine a WRH and Northeastern game in the second round.
Great game makes me look forward to playoffs!
