The game was very exciting. Gotta give credit to Marvin Ridge, they played hard and gave it their all, but at the end of the day it was too much Catholic. You could tell on the Cougars first drive that the Cougars would score at will.
The 4th and 2 play when Catholic was leading 21-14 was huge. Catholic goes and makes it 28-14 and just launched from there. The trick draw play with Milan Howard I think broke their back at 35-14.
The Cougar defense after Catholic got that 4th down stop really played well. Marvin Ridge fumbled midway through the third and Catholic made them pay with a 20yrd TD pass to apply the 40 burger at 42-14.
One more score for Catholic a one yard TD pass to make it 49-14 and really send a message. MR got their final score on the Cougars second team.
Some numbers for you:
This was Catholic's eight straight conference title. They have won 58 straight conference games dating back to 2009.
Catholic also has their fourth undefeated regular season since 2010 and sixth since 2004.
Just impressive what Catholic has done. Now onto the playoffs!
